I'm trying a new bug trapping technique where I roll a small child in the long grass and see what he comes out infested with. This Larch Ladybird was a nice find and a new one to me.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Afternoon all. I found this beetle yesterday when was digging one of my fields. Does anyone know his name, because I saw it for the first time. Quite large, length around 4 cm, and little bit aggressive (my fault, I was bothering him with cell phone).
They're definitely Seed Bug nymphs but not one we get in the UK I suspect. The iNaturalist AI suggests Spilostethus pandurus but I can't find a good ID guide to the nymphs to compare them sorry.
