    Very art nouveaux @wild edges

    This is moth number 162 and the 461st named species of creature from the garden. I still have a big file of creatures that I can't stick a name to though, and plenty I still need to photograph this year, so I'll be over 500 very soon I hope. :)

    Assuming it's a recent emergence then it'll probably be one of the moths in the link below. Beyond that it's hard to say sorry.

    Fabulous photos of insects.
    Sorry can't do the same....but brimstone, holly blue, peacock and tortishell all on the wing today.

    I started my Sunday with a nice pot of Early Grey. I didn't run the trap this weekend because I thought it would be too cold but this one was just stuck to the wall of the house when I went out this morning. I wouldn't have seen it because of the camouflage but the sun was at the right angle to cast a very mothy shadow across the render. I had to go and get a step ladder to catch it though which isn't going to help my reputation with the neighbours :#

    Very early for us but we had a comma butterfly in the garden yesterday. Lovely.
