More practice with micro-moth photography. This is a Cork Moth that's about 3mm long. Hard to catch the gold sheen on these though as the flash kind of wipes it out.

And another attempt at focus stacking with some Green Shield Bugs. Nine photos blended here but I'm still missing focus points in the middle so it probably needs another few photos even for something this small. It doesn't help that the little bugs keep wriggling either so there's a bit of motion blur. The before photos are below, eggs and just after/during hatching, both unstacked.

A first for me, Golden Tortoise Beetle. My handling of the macro lens is terrible, especially following Sheps and Wild Edges! I should have moved so that my massive noggin wasn't reflected on the shell.

OH found an emperor moth caterpillar while weeding this morning, brought it it to me to ID and I forgot to take a photo before he put it back where he found it!
Another new moth for me but sadly a couple of hundred metres away from the garden. Fingers crossed one comes for a visit soon. This is a White-pinion Spotted
