Hi all, the day started cloudy, dull but mildish but is now drizzling with fog coming down. I did my usual walk, across the new bridge, bit disappointed with the still too high steps the far end so have emailed the Councillor again, I expect she's getting fed up with me. Later I went for my monthly back/shoulder massage, apparently my shoulder was completely seized and crunched so she did a lot of work on it. Feel rather worse for wear now as a result but tomorrow should be better. Got told off for spending too long on the computer!
I've also had a couple of ops in a private hospital, the last one paid for by the NHS. I was well aware that the after care can sometimes be wanting, but that's something you have to weigh up when deciding where to go. I much preferred the flexability/luxury/privacy/better food in the private hospital. All the surgeons also worked in the NHS.
Anybody else watched the AstraZeneca programme last night? Very interesting.
Volunteer day today for me too. Not what we planned, me the senior gardener & another volunteer spent the day looking for diseased pine needles. We have a case of red pine needle blight, the level 3 Arboriculture students & the head of depth have taken samples away to inspect, report and come up with a solution.
Hello Forkers. It’s already hot enough to have the windows and doors open this morning. Can’t get used to our topsy turvy weather lately. 😳. Typically, I was planning to get going on a garden bed in front of the house which has been growing at twice it’s normal speed. It’s would have been very enjoyable with the cooler weather we’ve been having. Now I’m not too keen. I can’t take the hot sun nowadays.
I’m waiting for Hubby to stir himself and get his tea and toast done so that I can turn the washing machine on. 🙄 Oh well, at least it’ll all dry quickly.
Whew, I’m hot! All the washing is out, but there is thunder and dark clouds out there, so I’m not sure what’s going to happen. Hubby said there was a lightning strike 11 km away to the south. I hope it doesn’t come our way.
Hi @Pat E Your weather sounds quite alarming! Can you see it coming a long way off? We are surrounded by trees, and can’t see any horizon. The clouds seem to sneak upon us without a lot of warning. I hope you can get your washing dried, and the lightning doesn’t affect your phone / power.

I ‘enjoyed’ the Adam Kay programme too, although it made me a bit sad knowing that the work broke him in the end.
