I was in a filling station at 7am today . 7 customers and I was the only one wearing a mask .
Emails from DWP and Job Centre to say they're calling at 11.30 today. Nothing on the email to say if they're calling landline or mobile.  Email is " no reply " . There are 3 phone numbers 2 for DWP which say " we tried to call earlier but didn't get a reply. Goodbye " no option for leaving a message and the number for Job Centre is not in use any more.

Wasted an hour watching Trigger Point last night. I’d been looking forward to it, but my credibility started to waver when the bomb disposal expert had to resort to holding a pen torch between his teeth to examine a very suspicious item. I’d have lent them my head torch if they’d asked. And one of our portable LED spotlights I use in the loft.
And I dreamt I was having to identify three severed hands! Don’t know if I’ll give them the benefit of watching a second episode.

KT53,my friends husband refused to go out walking, because he has mobility problems, walks with a Zimmer frame, and there are a lot of people in their village from young kids to adults riding electric scooters on the pavements. I see quite a few riding by here, very fast. If you're around 5 foot tall, lifting the car seat up,won't help you reach the pedals any easier. Enjoy driving!! Is it meant to be enjoyable. A few feet from home, junction at the end of the road, for some strange reason,99.9 people turn right into here,on the wrong side of the road,it's blind, you cannot see traffic approaching to turn left. I have to drive to my sons. I did get a few buses into town pre pandemic, and was really travel  sick.  Ergates,I did the advanced driving test with a Police examiner, and the High Performance motorway course. I wanted to become a Paramedic, but I was 36you had to be under 35 to go frontline. They had decided you couldn't lift after that point. I got through the first interview, the next step was,you drove the ambulance. I didn't bother, because I wanted frontline, not a glorified hospital taxi driver

Nanny Beach, that makes a lot of sense with the mention of electric scooters.  Damn things should be totally banned.  I can only assume cutting corners when turning right is going to be included in the updated Highway Code because so many around here do that already too!

I thought electric scooters were banned from anywhere but private land.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I wish they would put better speed regulators on mobility scooters. I thought the idea of them was to allow users to get to places they couldn’t walk to, not to travel faster than the average jogger. There are quite a few reckless ‘drivers’ who use the the promenade pavement like boy racers. There is one gentleman who behaves with care and courtesy to other pavement users, and it’s so apparent that he is in the minority. I have complimented him on his driving in the past!

There are some mobility scooters that are higher powered than others.  As I understand it the higher powered ones are not allowed on pavements.  My elderly aunt had one of these as they lived in rural S Wales and she used it on a steep lane to go feed their donkeys ... when she was in her 70s she got an ASBO for driving it on the pavement ...  😳

They are but that has never stopped people riding them on the footpaths around here.  Mobility scooters are supposed to be limited to 4mph on the footpath.
