Had a really nice day today and managed to get some gardening in, although tbh mostly deadheading and yanking out bindweed. Did spend too much time taking photos though. 😊

When we finally agreed to start carving up the front lawn we decided to have an island each. But of course I had to do all the digging, removal of turf & subsoil and then filling with the new mix! Three years on and we're still in competition
My roses are just on the wane...but had a nice surprise under my flowering cherry tree when these blue 'starry' things appeared. At first I thought they were agapanthus(es) seeded from this plant a few yards away - but no - it seems to be a 'triplet lily' (is that right?). No idea how it got there - although I did find a solitary one in the front garden a couple of years ago.
