They are supposed to smell like Lily of the Valley, but there's no scent yet ... although I'm a bit sinusy so possibly there's some that I can't smell ... OH has a sensitive nose so when he's home this evening he may be able to smell it. But it has only just opened, and there are others to come ... so the perfume may just be a matter of time ...

@Dovefromabove I’ve received three hymenocallis bulbs for my birthday earlier in the year and only one of them has flowered. It had two flowers towards the end of May and they did smell beautifully. I’ve grown mine outside, so I hope I’ll remember to bring them in before the winter.
The flowers lasted for quite a while (at least two weeks) and the bees seemed to love them.

I love them but I doubt they’d grow here, I’m sure hostafan grows them in the poly tunnel.
