The overnight rain has persuaded the Stipa gigantea flowers to emerge. Having grown this from a seed from Sheffield Botanical Gardens I'm always keen to monitor its progress.
Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
I'm enjoying seeing your lovely gardens so I'll post one or two of mine, fair's fair. Standing at the back door looking towards the arbour area on the raised level. The berberis is nearly in flower and roses only in bud but still a little colour. The arbour is covered in honeysuckle and the newish addition of the blue wisteria on the left. It's drizzling at the moment so looking a bit dull.
