This was an estate agent photo from the summer before we moved in. Everything overgrown, minimal view from the downstairs windows, shed due to fall down any day.. the usual. I wont call this after as there are a few tasks not done yes but this is during.. slightly different camera angle initial projects were to clear the ash and willow forest from the top and build the shed then greenhouse, then get rid of the old ones, then veg beds, fences, seat/pergola, paths in progress, more plants needed still! but its coming on nicely and everything done myself too.
@Busy-Lizzie, what a difference, it's beautiful! Such a lot of hard work but you've worked wonders so far. I love that bed near the dining table area, well done.
The above 2 photos show the garden as it was when we bought the house. Below is how it looked within a year.
Yes, I was probably a bit hasty and I’m sure some of you have your head in your hands. I have my regrets too. I probably should have tried to keep some of those shrubs but at the time they weren’ta part of my plan.
When the weather improves I’ll post one with the pond in the right hand bed.
Like everyone else has said, it’s a work in progress!

I’ve done everything else.
