The sun is shining. An outdoor day for me today. Lots to tidy up but that's ok.

It's funny how opposite weather conditions can make us happy @Uff!

A beautiful journey home across the downs with big beech woods blazing in the sunshine.

Latest guests left late this morning after the mists cleared and we have another bright and sunny day for them and us.   They've gone home with lots of wine after seeing the price difference for his favourite Fleurie and her favourite Sancerre plus some LIDL Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon which they both like and is only 1€99 here.

Lots of rain over the weekend so OH has been weeding a veggie bed ready for sowing broad beans and another for onions.   I have to stay in and make mulled cider, Parmesan biscuits and a cake for the garden club's annual plant swap meeting tomorrow but will still have time to pot up some cuttings that have rooted and maybe take some more.

    Happy days.

  • Yes my globe Artichokes were great but they came and went again months ago, because of the heat. Happily there will be more next year.

I don't usually watch I'm A Celeb, but thought it was wonderful last night, watching Pratt Hancock.  He is thoroughly deluded if he thinks this will improve his image.  He was squealing like a frightened 3 year old during the challenge, and certainly hasn't made any friends in camp.  Sadly his bank balance will be greatly improved.

I managed to dig out a buddleia stump all by myself, ground was soft and easy and roots not as hard as expected, much to my surprise. Room for another rose!
