    My RTBC today is twofold

    1) that I don’t have to find decent places to eat in London, and

    2) that Jay Rayner exists  <3

    Priceless 😎

Likewise @Hostafan1.  I like to be able to eat without the use of a magnifying glass, and without the support of a mortgage.

I could be totally wrong KT53 but in my eyes it's food snobbery.

If you read the article you’ll find that’s the point he’s making …

I love eating out and yes it can be expensive, but it's my money and I shall spend it as I choose.
How can you lie there and think of England

I get paying for quality, but from the article, it seems many are just being ripped off .

I am a great admirer of Jay Rayner’s writing and am strongly veering towards acceptance of his opinion of Il Borro. Unsurprisingly the restaurant gets rave reviews on Trip Advisor where most of the respondents could not tell fagiano from fagiolo but there is also approval on the Harden’s site where diners are usually more discerning. Who do you believe? (Answer, usually Jay Rayner)
