Not acceptable though, is it @Lizzie27? I noticed a parcel outside the porch of a house yesterday when I was out. I didn't know whether to go to the neighbour and ask if they would take it in. In the end I didn't, but it bothers me a bit that I didn't
RTBC today was that Ken played Blue Guitar. Justin Hayward's voice........ahhh and the bloke doing his 'tracks' this week picked The Monkees' #Pleasant Valley Sunday. Not played often enough IMO. It's a Carole King song too, which I hadn't realised.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Dovefromabove - because of The Monkees, I was chatting to my daughter about the way songs were written and then performed by others, even as late as the later 60s, and we got onto the subject of their other songs. I always loved the Micky Dolenz song that goes #why don't you cut your hair, why don't you live up there, and how it never gets played etc, but I couldn't remember the name, so we looked it up. It was called Alternate Title here, but the original story is great!

We had a situation where our neighbours knew they wouldn't be home when a package was delivered (forced change of plans at short notice) so asked if we would take it in for them. They put a note on their front door immediately above the bell. I went out mid-morning to see a package dumped on their doorstep, immediately below the note!
But anyone could put a note on the outside of the door to re-direct a delivery. The delivery driver would be in trouble if he took notice of a note like that.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Many delivery companies now give you an option on line to direct the parcel beforehand to a chosen safe place or neighbour and to accept responsibility for it disappearing if it goes wrong. Pros and cons for both parties but safer than a handwritten note - unless your computer's been bugged!

If I leave a note for drivers, I sellotape it the INSIDE of the window on the door.

I keep saying they show their shows again on TV. I think 'young folk' would love them - and so would I!
