Cold and grey again and freezing.  Fed up with it now.  SM run today and then hibernating till it's time to go to dance class.

No time to read back so I'll just wish everyone a good day and hope everyone feeling poorly, exhausted, injured or otherwise less than fine sees some improvement.

  • Morning.
I started a new jigsaw in December, but quickly became suspicious when I found I had 3 identical top left corners and a chunk of sky edge missing. I've put it aside for now.
No rain in the forecast for today, but I don't think the met office has told the sky that yet.

    Afternoon all.
Awake at 4, left home at 6.30 and home half an hour ago. V tempted to have a snooze.
I've bought a new phone ( battery didn't survive the washing machine) but I've lost all my contacts .
Can I ask  anyone who has my phone number  to send me a text please, with name .

Back from the tip, a walk on the seafront, a quick visit to Waitrose on the way home, then a short detour to Sainsbury’s when I realised that I’d forgotten the cereal I went into Waitrose for!
Since we got home, OH has levelled the new tumble dryer, I have to leave it to sit for 12 hours. Also finally cleared the junk from under the stairs, that’s only taken a few months. Now having a post lunch rest.
I think you definitely deserve a nap, @Hostafan1
  • Afternoon everyone,  volunteer day today, so no time to read or post this am. Very sluggish today, nothing to do with the venison dinner and glass of Bordaux reserve red  I had last night.  Only had the one glass as I noticed it was 14.5% 😱

Hello folks, it has been a lovely warm day with sunshine by lunchtime - up to over 14c.
Really nice and I'm so happy that after 15 years of trying, I've finally got one lone snowdrop in bloom on the verge by our front hedge. Do hope it now multiplies. Did a few hours gardening after lunch while it was so mild.

We had another nice surprise this afternoon when an old Irish friend called in for a cuppa. He'd come over on the early ferry and was doing several errands/seeing friends all over the place.

Hope everyone gets better soon that need to do so.

Happy Birthday greetings for tomorrow @Dovefromabove, I'll probably be late logging in. Hope you've got a suitable celebration all lined up.

    Good evening to you all!

Had a busy day once I got going.  Dug up some soil to put in some broad beans and then I got carried away and sowed some lettuce seeds and white radish seeds under a plastic tunnel.  I know it was futile, but then the spirit was willing and the flesh was weak!  Now my rib feels a bit sore.

Beautiful day though  with -4°C this morning and 16°C this afternoon with a light breeze.  Dog walked and some paths swept.  Feeling tired now.

@Allotment Boy   That's a robust red!!  Must have been worth the glass.  Bet it went down really well with the venison!

Enjoy your evening and enjoy the red!

Evening everyone. Well we had the expected rain overnight but suddenly the sun came through mid morning and the day has been positively glorious, so good for raising the spirits. Dentist for me this morning, just a check up thank goodness, but oh trying to find a parking place was a nightmare and very stressful. Totally exhausted by the time I puffed my way into the dentist. Arrived home to find that daughter had managed to start my old Landrover - 60 years old this February (the Landy that is, not daughter although she isn't far off that). Recently had the Landy virtually rebuild and so she now needs running. So off we went trundling up the mountain, daughter driving crashing the gears occasionally but managing well. Over the mountain top we went to stare at the most glorious views, we kept saying 'lets go a bit further' and in the end we were out an hour, an absolute delight for me. Hopefully it will become my regular drive from now on (I don't go too far) before I get too old and weak to manage her. I just love old vehicles and I have owned this one for 50 years so she's pretty special.
Sorry that I seem to write so many rambling posts. Hope those of you that are not feeling too good feel better very soon. Take it easy Hostafan and I hope that DD has been helped by the Doctor's visit.

Love a rambling post @AnnaB … especially one about rambling around in an ancient Landy … my idea of heaven … you can take me with you next time …
