Life's too short to..........

Coming up to new year, instead of resolving to do things, it might be better to resolve or celebrate not doing things .
Here's some things that occur to me.

Life's too short to:

Iron a duvet cover

Wash a flower pot

Join a queue of more than two people

Watch a reality programme

Cook anything you've seen in cookery porn programmes or magazines

Google a celebrity you've never heard of

Listen to anything said by Johnson and his mates

Grow anything that slugs like

What do you think?

    Apart from cleaning flower pots (which the gardener sometimes does), I do all those things @B3. Indeed, I also iron tea towels and cleaning cloths. But my life is too short 
      - To make pastry, mincemeat or chutney
      - To fret over hair or skin care products
      - To be enticed by online ads for products from a “smoke and pet free home”
      - To find jobs to do in retirement
      - To get up early

    I'll echo that @Lyn. I've spent my life going to places and events because it was expected, when in truth, I hated it, and felt miserable the entire time. Socialising is very difficult for me, and now I don't do it unless I want to do it. Result  :D

    The only time I wash pots [other than ones for cooking  ;) ] is when they're ornamental ones,  and there hasn't been rain for a few days and stuff has stuck to them. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I like experimenting with new cooking.

    But I think life is too short to iron anything
    to worry about grey hair
    to battle with bad tech
    to wear make up

    to bother with certain odious family members. I've made the break and thank god for it.

    I also don't iron.
    If the occasion arises when an iron is needed I have to get the instructions out!
    The secret to not ironing is to hang things properly on the line (straighten things out etc) and then fold neatly.

    Also don't buy things that do need ironing.
    I have 2 nice blouses that always needed ironing so never wore them much.
    Then I discovered that putting them in the tumble dryer and taking them out before they were dry (but creases had been steamed out) and putting on a hanger was far easier and simpler than ironing.

    I do the same @madpenguin, re the hanging washing, although cotton stuff is a bit tricky here to get 'crease free' unless the weather's very kind.  I also wear very few clothes that would need ironed. 
    Ironing's also a huge waste of electricity - very heavy on it. 
    I'm not making that up as an excuse either!   :D
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I iron when I'm sewing, be it clothes or patchwork but OH does all the house and family ironing whilst watching sport on TV.  LTS to let him sit and watch without being useful!

    He also plays golf which is definitely and LTS item and I don't go and socialise with his golfing pals.   Crochet is another LTS but I do like sewing and embroidery.  Never going to knit anything either.

    I enjoy cookery on TV - except Nadia - and often try recipes out.  LTS too for reality TV, soaps, most modern comedy, Formula 1, Rap.   Not mentioning politics and bigotry as LTS.
