@Songbird-2 it is! It is really coming into it’s own this year!

That's it, @zugenie, we spend such a lot of time preparing the areas ( hidden later on) and then planting out that it's only a year or so later that we start to see the benefits. Keep up the good work, it's looking grand.🙂

@Songbird-2 thank you :) I’m enjoying it a lot this year and I’m excited to see how it looks next year too!!

I started removing the big bush today, the delivery of the tree and it’s inability to stay upright has expedited the process, otherwise I wouldn’t be touching it in this heat!!

    Where I started:

    Where I got to yesterday:

    And where I’m at today!

Gained around 2m of garden back 😬 also happily discovered the fence on this side is taller than I realised

That's very impressive @zugenie, especially in the heat we've been having. And ooh, look... Lots of lovely planting space  :D

@bullfinch thank you, I was only working on it in the mornings, too hot to be out past 12!! I know 😆 funny how that extra planting space appears like that. It’s like how the lawn seems to keep getting smaller

First bit (the clearing) done, stumps are coming out at the weekend!

the pink line in the second photo is where it used to come out too!!

First two trees are in :)

Excuse the rather interesting staking on the big tree, it’s very top heavy and the wind generally comes from that direction!

Looks good @zugenie, your hard work is showing dividends!  I was interested to see how you were going to get that tree upright, well done!
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.
