    Good evening to all.

I hope that you all are well. I didn't have much time last two days so I didn't' read back. Sorry ladies. The weather is awful since Christmas, constant rain. Everything is soaked.

Today I was at one nursery and was shocked how much prices are going up. I prepare already for next garden season and found that some prices are even 150% higher than last year. For example, bag of organic chicken manure 25 kg, last year cost around 10β‚€, now it's 24β‚€. I don't want tell you situation about seed potatoes.Β
Well, I don't want bother you, but I was quite surprised. I need my tea now, feel little bit puffy after all lunches and dinner last few days.

Ouch, ouch, ouch Ante. The last thing you need when planning your new business is to have prices going up so much. Don't worry about telling us about the seed potato or any other difficulties Ante - a problem shared is a problem halved so they say. We are here to listen and sympathise.
Hazel, your shelving sounds ideal. Will you have enough room for a second unit?

  • Ante That is a very steep rise in price at the nursery a big shock for you, sorry to hear the weather has been so miserable for you too. Hope things look brighter tomorrow,Β
LB I think making the purchase of some online plants is absolutely necessary, you cannot let a special offer go to waste,
    Goodnight everyone.
  • Weather eased by mid afternoon, but started drizzling again during the evening.
Shelving sounds nice @Songbird-1 hope you don't have to wait too long for new sofa.
@Ante30 that's a big increase in prices. Sorry you're having awful weather too.
    @Ladybird4 love robins, that's a lovely photo.Β
@Chivetalking lovely to see your mum again, hope she's feeling much stronger now.

Will say goodnight too, sleep well and sweet dreams everyoneΒ

Good morning all getting ready for work and fiancΓ© is leaving early to drive to Bristol for funeral. Lovely day with youngest son yesterday and I confess I have taken down all my Christmas decorations. I have a bag full of pine needles as I swept before vacuuming any ideas for uses in the garden? Tree is going to be shredded.Β
@Chivetalking pleased you got to spend time with mom. Tea and a chat sounds lovely. @Ante30 let’s hope the rose in prices means your produce will be worth more?Β
@Songbird-1i love new units to fill with books and stuff I think a trip to ikea is on the cards for me soon.Β
Lovely robin LB and thanks for your good wishes re work. There are only 4 of us instead of the usual 8 so should be fun!Β

Ante that is a large increase in prices.Β  I hope these will reduce for you.Β  We had problems where prices soared in the chemist during early COVID but have since settled down.Β
Please don't msg me at the moment as I've had to reset my tablet and it's not connected to the internet.Β
At one point I had 165 tabs (screens).Β  Good morning everyone.Β  Just having a cup of tea.

Good morning Debs and RosieBB. Debs, you could use the pine needles as a mulch around any acid loving plants you have in your garden such as rhododendrons. I hope that you get the internet problem sorted today RosieBB.
I rang my sister-in-law in Australia this morning to wish her a 'happy birthday' and the whole family were just on their way out for a meal. She laughed at me calling in the 'middle of the night' but she does know I am an early riser. It was a mere 37Β°C there!

Good morning debs, Rosie, LB and all to follow.

Debs, I'm glad that you had a lovely day with your son. My tree will be removed at January 7th.

Rosie, I read that you had a snow on Boxing day, how lovely. On tv I heard that last snow around Christmas here was in 1996. Good luck with internet.

LB, Happy birthday to your sister in law! 37℃ sounds horrible, especially at Christmas timeπŸ˜‚.Β

I have my tea, pets are all fed, also birds outside. It's still raining, but I must go to the cottage afternoon.Β

    Have a lovely day!
