Oh dear Busy, what a shame for your OH but better to be safe. Poor litle granddaughter too. At least if we get a sore throat we can rationalise and deal with it, but a little dot like her will just feel properly miserable. Hopefully the day will come when all these missed celebrations will be able to be 'caught up' with.

  • Busy I’m sorry to hear your news..  I hope they’ll feel better soon, especially your granddaughter as LB has said.   I had a cup of tea with dad and spoke to my Uncle who is uncomfortable after his pacemaker was fitted.

  • Hazel I’m glad your home safe.  A good idea to stay close to home.  Thank you Hazel and LB.  I hope he sleeps.  Luckily he had his Christmas dinner delivered to him as he’s not well enough to go out.  Goodnight everyone.

    Thank you for your sympathy.
I'm sorry your Uncle is uncomfortable, Rosie. I have 3 friends with pacemakers and they are OK. Maybe it's early days.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Evening everyone,
Busy Sorry to see that your OH had to cut short the stay with his daughter. I hope SIL recovers soon and the rest of the family stays well. Hope your little granddaughter feels better soon too,
Bluebells I’m sorry to hear of your uncle feeling uncomfortable after his pacemaker was fitted, i hope that this feeling will soon improve.
Hazel Glad you managed to get your click & collect order, but the experience there with other shoppers and on the way home sounds awful. What a relief to get back home.
Rubee I hope things are improved tomorrow,
LB I'm sure the beef was very tasty, nice to get a good deal,
Goodnight everyone, hope you sleep well.
  • Good morning everyone.  Busy, yes it’s early days, Uncle has only just come out of hospital.  Time for breakfast and tea.

Good morning all. Family party yesterday went well. Today we are taking youngest son back to Liverpool as he has so much to carry. Bit of lunch then home and I really want to take my tree and decorations down. Back to work tomorrow and fiancé off to Bristol with his mom for her brother’s funeral. Work will be understaffed and busy so going to enjoy my last day off.

Good morning Chive, bang on the witching hour your last post 🧙🏻‍♀️ ,our regular early bird, RosieBB. and all who arrive later.
Hazel, your post wasn't there when I signed out last night but what a nightmare of an outing for you and your OH. I'm glad you missed that dreadful driver and got home safely. Good idea to wait now. Today is:
December 28 is National Chocolate Day - one of many but who39s complaining Chocolate day Chocolate National
These days are random and often vary from region to region, but they're all a bit of fun and add a smile to all our lives, even if for just a day.
I hope that your Uncle is more comfortable today RosieBB. My brother-in-law has had one for several years without incident. The only thing he had to be careful with - well at least in the early days - was going through airport security screening. He was taken through separate gates to us. Whether that has changed now or not I'm not sure and as he has driven more often now when going to France, I don't think that is a problem.
