  • Good Morning LB, Ante, SGL, Hazel & all to follow,
Have a lovely time with bestie today, it would be nice to visit a GC together if the opportunity comes up. How is her daughter now?
Ante The Christmas wheat looks very healthy, it makes a lovely festive display with the teddies picture. I hope that your fruit tree buds do not freeze now they are such a good size,
SGL That was an early hour to wake, I hope you’ll be able to take things easy today. Is OH still doing his Pilates over the Christmas break?
Hazel It is shocking how the time goes, the weekly shopping day arrives all too soon 😮 Hope son doesn’t feel unwell after his booster, fingers crossed for him,
Bluebells I hope Alfie was settled last night and you’ve been able to get your tablet online again,
The temperature is mild for today, hoping to get outside our patio looks untidy. Enjoy your day everyone.

    Good morning all.

Sun is out now and I can see some blue sky. It is still 21.8° in the kitchen, I haven't lit the stove and there is no other heating; but there is heating in the sitting room next door which is through an open doorway, no door. It was 12° outside at 8am.

My cold is still developing, getting through tissues.

Not sure what I'll be doing today, still feel tired. In the last 3 weeks I've had 2 colds and a tummy bug, thanks to the littlies of the family. Their parents must have developed some immunity because they aren't ill that often. New Year's Eve will be quiet, I hope.

  • Good Morning Rubee & Busy,
Thank you Rubee I’m sitting here contemplating what to tackle first 🙂 I hope your day goes well,
Busy it sounds like you need to have an easy day if you can just resting, you’ve had a lot going on and if you feel run down with a cold it’s miserable. Take care of yourself 🤧

  • Hello all ... it's so mild today!   Upstairs windows have been open since first thing this morning to give the place a good airing.  OH has gone to work and I'm going to make a chicken and mushroom pie with the second half of yesterday's pot-roasted chicken.  Then I'll put the carcass in the stock-pot ... we'll have Cock-a-leekie tomorrow
Have a good day everyone  :)

Hi folks,  Hope everyone had a good Christmas.  We spent a day and a night at Secondborns and then went to Firstborns for Christmas Eve night and stayed until Boxing Day.  Other than that haven't been out.  Feeling much better now after the op and looking forward to when I can drive (Jan 9th).  Hoping to go out to Ashwoods tomorrow with Bestie.
For some reason I haven't got the gardening bug at the moment.  Normally I would be ordering seed and planning what to grow in the Spring.
Hope poorly people and pets get better soon.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Ante I'm glad to hear Max is getting better.  Chive enjoy the remaining holiday days.  LB I hope the flood soon improves and it stops raining.  Im glad it's nothing major.  Hazel I hope your son will feel better in a couple of days.  I can't remember anything else.  I apologise if I missed you.
