Do you add the 'ey' [in a questioning tone] on at the end of sentences too @Balgay.Hill? My nephews had a definite touch of that when they were younger, as they were raised in the dark side [east] of the country

That's the gem [Gem with a 'g' not a 'j' - as in game, not the precious item, for those not initiated ]
No, the one in the bathroom is a battery driven one, sitting on the window sill. The downstairs loo has no light switch. Only operates via the motion sensor ( once again, no ribald comments again please!) All safe, legal and above board!
@Lizzie27 - that's the beauty of the little Ikea lights - they are run on batteries with LED bulbs, so you can put them anywhere.
Another super useful set up is using extra strong magnets. If you use two together, you can suspend things like these lights, or shelving for light items on bathroom cabinet doors, windows, mirrors, fridges. Very cheap. You can buy magnetic sticky strips.
I have tried them with suspending clocks and you do need to be a little careful with this. If the magnet is too powerful, it can stop the hands from turning.
Those Ikea battery operated lights look really useful, how long do the batteries last on average? I have little battery operated lanterns for midnight trips to the loo for visitors but you have to switch them on and off. Sensor operated ones sound easier.
My battery operated little Ikea lights last 2-3 months on rechargable batteries. Second hand from Ebay. £3 each. Great for sheds, outside storage trunks, camping...

My new year resolution - to be more open to and less cynical about innovation.
