  • But it’s distracting the press away from Christmas parties at No 10 isn’t it? The scientists have been telling him to do this for a fortnight but he was scared of being seen as the Grinch again, so he didn’t do it until after he’d visited Carrie in hospital yesterday …. she’s a PR person … she told him to do something to draw the flak away from the Christmas party brouhaha and give him the chance to appear on tv in quasi-Churchillian mode. 🙄

Over an hour on hold to the vaccination people with no answer. We've had to email for a call back now. All I want to do is swap my wife's appointment with mine as they've stuck her at 7pm when she's busy with the kids. I bet if we just swapped without telling them it wouldn't be a problem but you never know. It's a couple of days before Xmas too so I hope the side effects aren't too bad.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I had a similar problem wild edges. My booster was for the day I was going on holiday so tried to change it. Eventually got through after a 40 min hold to be told there weren't any appointments for 2 months and hadn't started booking beyond that. In the end, I just turned up at the vaccination centre, the local cottage hospital, and they gave me the jab, no problem.

I'm getting sooooo bored with the constant Boris sniping.

  • Well … what’s the alternative … is anyone singing his praises apart from his pals who depend on him for their positions … oh and Boris himself of course 🙄

Me too @Lizzie27.  I wonder how many people will put themselves forward as candidates or is it easier to moan about the ones we’ve already got.

Avoiding politics altogether - just for a bit. Please!

Actually, I'll stick my nose out and declare I like Boris - so there.

The loveable rogue,  roughs up his hair for the fun of it.  He’s taking us all for a ride.
I definitely don’t like the opposition.  Nothing loveable about him.
I wouldn’t want Boris job for anything.

I thought he was a very good London Mayor, better than the present incumbent but I have to admit I didn't live in London.
