Might it be easier to publish a list of Tories who didn't attend a Christmas party last year?
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Dove,I know thought I was being unreasonable a couple of weeks ago regarding friend, coming round 20 minutes early for night out. We normally meet up Wednesday for coffee somewhere then walk to a village pub. She's having her hair done,1.30. I suggested a seafront Hotel we sometimes go to for the coffee, then I will run her to the hairdresser, she doesn't drive. She said she'd see me at 11.30,I confirmed. Hotel is just 10 minutes drive. Hairdresser about a mile from there. She texted late last night, yes 11.30 was fine, THEREFORE she would be round at 11! Leaving here at 11.30 we'll be sitting in the hotel 11.45 one coffee, will be drunk by 12.15  if they were suddenly busy on a Wednesday morning, then I m dropping her a couple of roads away. That's why I get annoyed! Have messaged"lots to do,meet outside 11.30

Not for the same purpose as nappies I hope!

When my sister-in-law had her first baby, 35 years ago, I suggested replacing nappies with a bin bag and gaffer tape.  She never did adopt the idea although it could have saved a fortune in nappies.

Hubby has just reminded me, friends husband decided they don't need a landline,so she hasn't been online, not received my message. Do I "be busy" at 11, telling her she agreed 11.30, grit my teeth drop her at the hairdressers ridiculously early. Serve her right. Want to go to the Bank but alone!

I had an e-mail notification of a delivery from Royal Mail for later today.  Followed the link for delivery options, one of which is to leave it in the porch.  Selected that option and pressed Send.  Only when I read the acknowledgement did I realise that the delivery date had been changed to tomorrow.  I tried to go back in to correct that and it won't allow me to do a second change!

Pansyface, just thought although the dongle works the WiFi,she has internet connection smartphone,so I don't see that that makes any sense to me. Now bearing in mind she's 20 years younger, and had a smartphone for years,I am far better at using tech than her. I did offer to take her to the hairdresser tho, can't forget it's a Wednesday "thing"

Nanny Beach, if you are meeting her there, just roll up at 11.30 as planned. Not your fault she didn’t get your message.
If she’s coming to your home, dare you to tell her you won’t be ready till 11.30 as arranged, and ask to wait in the car!
Or maybe take her to the hotel for coffee, drop her there and tell her you’ll meet her back there at 11.30!
Smile throughout and tell her you’re sure she’ll understand!
