Regarding people waving from cars.  I was in a very silly mood one day, and as the car park exit barrier went up I waved vigorously and smiled at the people at the entry barrier.  They looked puzzled and, as we drove away, my wife asked who they were.  I said I didn't have the faintest idea but the thought of their confusion and upcoming conversation amused me at the time.

It's always difficult recognising people out of context, even without the face masks. Chap at the next self service till in Tesco looked familiar. About 20 minutes later I remembered he works in the local railway station selling teas and coffee. Woman at the cinema queue - eventually twigged she worked in the newsagent. That sort of thing.

I expect people who normally wear uniforms get the 'didn't recognise you with your clothes on' comment quite frequently

I'm beginning to feel torn between disgust at the sheer hypocrisy and reluctant admiration for such a blatant F*** you attitude on behalf of the merrymakers.

I’m not good at remembering names, but I can remember all sorts of other information about people, from families, hobbies and interests etc.
Talking of not recognising people out of context, I was wheeling my trolley round a supermarket and came round a corner to meet one of my patients. She greeted me with a big cheery smile, and said, ‘I know you, don’t I? But I can’t remember where from!’
’I’m your dentist’ I replied. At the point, the smile disappeared, and she headed off in the opposite direction without another word. Never could work out why, most of my patients were extremely satisfied.

I went to Badminton classes many years ago and our teacher always wore shorts, a few years later he came up to me at a bowls gathering and I didn't recognise him until he introduced himself, I then said I didn't recognise him with his trousers on- the place went quiet.

Having spent many hours in the Life Drawing Studio that’s a comment I’ve been tempted to make several times …

I don't see why any country should have to rely on poorly paid immigrant workers to care for its elderly or infirm or otherwise less able citizens.  In this case I think Brexit and immigration policies serve to highlight a problem of UK attitudes to such work and the funding needed.

Remember the old adage - pay peanuts, get monkeys - tho these days it seems to be pay peanuts get no-one.
