  • @Lyn I know C*ts have been banned on this thread but good to see T again - I can still remember him coming into the kitchen and going "Bah Humbug" when there were no tit bits to his liking :D

@philippasmith2 we were only saying the other day how you would bring him round to us after he’s spent a day with you,  you sitting on the floor as he was on your chair, you’d hand him over saying ‘Cat Delivery’

If I don't say this here I may say it out loud and get sulks from folks here so here goes.
I did all the shopping,  gifts and food.  All the cooking,  2 roasts and all the trimmings 2 days in a row and 2 luxury meals when step daughter came.  I did all the preparations,  all the wrapping,  all the washing up and no one has lifted a finger to help me,  not even made a cup of tea for me and now I'm going back to work while others have another week off.
Am I in unreasonable to feel miffed?
  • No @WonkyWomble you’re not … but sometimes you do have to tell them … before you go out today tell the one at home what time he has to put dinner in the oven … otherwise it won’t dawn on him … you’ve treated him too well for far too long … he thinks that’s the way you like it  🙄

Not at all @WonkyWomble. I know how that feels. It's a wonder you haven't punched someone by now. Perhaps that might have the desired effect in future. Or when asked 'what's for dinner?' your answer for the next week or two could be 'whatever you lot are making'

I do remember one Christmas, I'd done the dinner and it was all ready to serve [about 12 of us]  and when I went to the lounge to tell them, they all went 'but we're watching this film and it's not finished yet....'

To quote our famous tv show, there could have been a murrrder that day.

This is how it feels [another of our well loved shows]  ;)

Thanks @Dovefromabove @Fairygirland @Uff 🤗 you have made me feel a bit better!
Trouble is @Dovefromabove..I did say,  quite a few times it's a lot to do etc.... went right over his head. I'm not going to moan anymore but I'm not sure how next year will go down come Christmas time!!! 🤔
@Fairygirl great video!! If I'd done that I may feel less angry!!
  • How can it go over his head when he is 6’7”???

You need to get that lovely daughter of his to have a stern teacher-style word with him 😡

She has inherited the art of convincing her partner to run around after her also
  • Then you need to watch and learn from an expert @WonkyWomble … 😉
and nevertheless my guess is she’ll be quite able to convince her Papa that he thinks you deserve a bit of tlc after a busy Christmas … even if the new leaf doesn’t stay turned over permanently…
