    Morning everyone,
Sorry @Busy-Lizzie you weren't there when I posted last night, sorry to hear you feel poorly. Do hope you had a good night's sleep and it not the horrible cold bug going around.
Thank you @Ladybird4 so very kind. Have sent you a PM.
Thank you everyone, I do hope I can get things sorted out today. Not looking forward to having one with 'electronic'  programmes instead of an easy dial 😣
Thank you @bluebellsinthewild I'll look out for that,
Well must get a wriggle on and get ready to brave the hopefully not too baffling jargon 😂😂

Oops that went too soon.  Just wish OH could come with me......but he has helped me narrow them down when looking on line. 😉
Have a good day everyone , take care.

Morning everyone .Busy good to hear you just have a cold. Look after yourself.I remember washing nappies by hand . It was very hard work .When we bought a second hand washer that had a mangle attached ,it was so much easier . Ante enjoy your day .LB whatever you have planned ,enjoy.

I've replied SGL and if this bit helps - mine has a dial selection feature.
When I got my first house I had a twin tub. It was good but it was hard work. I like just being able to shove all the items into the drum, shutting the door and turning on then unloading when its all finished.

  • Thankfully, after a restless night with Alfie things have settled down and I’ve had a couple of hours sleep.  As he gets older he becomes more sensitive and it takes a longer massage for him to get relief.  It’s not too cold today, although definitely a jumper day.  I was reading through the Curmudgeons thread early this morning taking in various perspectives quite interesting.  Hazel I hope your son soon gets his car back. The sun has just come out as it was raining earlier.  I managed to get some sunglasses for the low winter sun.  Theyre rather nice tortoiseshell ones.  Lily I must admit I quite miss my old boiler which had dials, so simple but happy to have a working boiler in any event.  Good luck with your washer search.  I think AO deliver quite quickly although there are other choices.  The suns shining through into the dining room now and im looking at the trees.
  • Popped to a well known electrical store and after a bit of pondering I've ordered a Bosh. Its arriving Monday, could have had it on Friday but need to go out. The one at the moment is a Bosh.
Did look on AO @bluebellsinthewild but earliest delivery day was the 31st.
Have delivered the rest of local Christmas cards this afternoon and hopefully that's done now.  Must start wrapping some pressies 🤦🏻‍♀️

Evening all. See Hazel, I KNEW I should be scared of my great aunt's mangle. I'm glad now I kept well clear. Pleased its nothing serious that needs seeing to on your son's car.
I have just finished bringing in the cloth things. The best I can say about them is that they have had an airing as despite the sunshine there was no drying in the air and the dew is already forming on the roof of the car.
RosieBB, I'm relieved to hear that Alfie is over the worst now. Hope he is snuggling up somewhere cosy.
Whilst I was bringing in the cloth things I was looking up at the moon and there was a perfect ring around it. This means that snow may be coming very soon.

  • Good Evening everyone, tried to put in an appearance a little earlier,
LB I hope you won’t be waking to a snowy outlook anytime soon, have a nice evening
SGL I’m pleased you were able to purchase a new washing machine and arrange a quick delivery, will they take the old one away for you?
Hazel Relieved to hear that your sons car is still safe to drive until it’s taken in. You have been very good cleaning those blinds, I bet they look grand 🙌
Bluebells Sorry to hear about poor Alfie last night, I’m glad he’s recovered a little from this chocking episode and I hope you’ve both taken it easy today,
Our childrens Christmas lunch tomorrow so must reserve some energy, have a nice evening everyone Goodnight.
  • @Chivetalking yes thankfully they are disconnecting and taking the old one away. Also connecting the new one and all for free. 🤗🤗
Hope the little ones enjoy their Christmas lunch tomorrow, Hope  there's crackers 😄🎉🎉
