I like the black and white logs. You have to peel off the black bit and eat it first and then go for the white bit.
I sometimes used to peel off the black wrapping and eat it and give the white innards to Ma.Ā
Haven’t had any Bassets Allsorts for years. Don’t hanker for them either.Ā

Gentlemen … I think that by now it’s acknowledged by most here that you two have very little in common and are unlikely to agree about very much. Fortunately as you seem to move in quite different social circles that really doesn’t matter at all …

It is also obvious that your respective horticultural experience and approaches to gardening differ hugely.Ā

Can I suggest that you both accept each other’s differences and move on …
    Move on?

If only. I'm just responding to snarky comments. Ignoring them doesn't stop them coming. So I won't put up with them.
So … how are you going to stop them? Ā  Clearly not by reacting to them like this. Ā You could just take no notice … or press the Ignore button … orĀ

I had cravings for Bassets Allsorts when expecting my daughter, I still love them, she found an online supplier last year and sent me a box.......I love all of them!

My craving was walnut whips. The local sweet shop had to buy in extra to cope with the demand.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Liquorice Allsorts for me.Ā Ā
Which are your favourites @Lyn? I love the ones covered in the wee bobbles best.
We used to call them worms eggs for some reason. I’m afraid I love any form of chocolate and nearly all sweets. Even if I don’t like them much, if they are there, I’ll eat them!

I used to work near the Cadbury’s factory near Bristol, and there was often a wonderful smell of chocolate over the town. The best days were when they were making CurlyWhirlys, chocolate and toffee aromas!

The ignore button is very useful in this instance @Hostafan1 and @punkdoc . It's not as if there's usually anything worth reading, and saves the blood pressureĀ  ;)

I love the coconut rings so pass them on here....
I love liquorice though. That soft stuff is glorious. Don't eat crisps other than when I'm walking. They're light to carry, but I agree about the packaging. Badly needs addressed.

Masks are mandatory here, so why do people still go into supermarkets without them - workies and young folk seem to be the worst offenders just now, not to mention the Network Rail guy in front of me earlier.Ā  No wonder my daughter got itĀ  :/
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I find a nice glass of wine or a pint of beer are the most effective lubricants when taking pills.

  • I take quite a few pills nowadays, what with prescribed ones and vitamins etc ... I swallow them with a couple of gulps of cold water.Ā Ā

At least I don't have to be wrapped in a towel and have a pill in a piece of liver slipped down my throat as I did when we had cats.  😹

I’d be quite happy to take my pills with a slice of liver.
