What I do is mentally remove houses, tarmac, everything from the landscape. Lots of small  hills and dips here. There is a ridge and  unspectacular escarpment at the top of the road which is quite challenging. Even outside the house takes a bit of work

  • Bl**dy printer. We don't use it that much , my OH is trying to print off the address labels for the Christmas cards we want to send. It keeps saying there's a blockage on the photo tray and won't print.  1) we are not trying to use the photo tray & 2, it's definitely not blocked all moving freely. Done everything the help pages say try. I  hate chucking otherwise serviceable items but I fear a new printer will be cheaper than trying to get this one fixed 😡

@Allotment Boy, have you tried turning off the printer and the computer, taking the paper out, then putting it back it again and switching it all on? That sometimes works for us.

When ours misbehaves we de-install and re-install.   Seems to work most times but sometimes it'll talk to OH's PC but not mine and then I just take a USB key over to whichever is working ad print from there.

Why are printers so monumentally rubbish?
Give the price of ink cartridges they should last forever. In realilty it's often cheaper to buy a new one. WHY?

My theory is they are invented/made by the people that bring us electric toasters. Also inexplicably, universally rubbish

If you don't need colour buy a laser printer.  Toner cartridges last a long time, printer ready within seconds, no wasted ink with the printer's own cleaning system at startup - which never seems to clear the jets anyway.
