  • Gentlemen … I think that by now it’s acknowledged by most here that you two have very little in common and are unlikely to agree about very much. Fortunately as you seem to move in quite different social circles that really doesn’t matter at all …

It is also obvious that your respective horticultural experience and approaches to gardening differ hugely.Ā

Can I suggest that you both accept each other’s differences and move on …

Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Which are your favourites @Lyn? I love the ones covered in the wee bobbles best. Most folk hate those!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Those are my favourites too @Fairygirl Ā I call them Cushions. I also like the ā€˜solid liquorice’ ones … Lyn can have the rest … especially the coconut ones 🤮

The prospect of being surrounded by those crushingly dull folk in their awful uniforms ? No thanks
    Really?
Do you know, I bet no one mindsĀ  that you don't like golf.

    Uniforms?
Not everyone dresses likeĀ  Ian Poulter or the late Payne Stewart.

    Amateur golfers don't wear uniforms.

They might have a club shirt, self-coloured with a club badge, but that's as close as manyĀ  get.
For most, like me, clothes come under the category of, "It's good enough for golf."

    Try and get over it.

    Move on?

If only. I'm just responding to snarky comments. Ignoring them doesn't stop them coming. So I won't put up with them.

The problem @Doghouse Rileyis that you are usually the instigator of the snarky comments.
How can you lie there and think of England

I like the black and white logs. You have to peel off the black bit and eat it first and then go for the white bit.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I like the coconutĀ  onesĀ  and the logs.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
