'....That doesn't change the fact that a large proportion of those attempting
to enter Europe or the UK are economic migrants, not genuine refugees....'
What difference does that make? For 150 years Britain exported people around the globe as part of Empire. I wonder how many of them were wanted in the countries they moved to? Is it so unreasonable for others to want to try to better their conditions and share in the wealth that Empire and colonialism brought to the UK (and the west in general)?
It's not in the least unreasonable for others to want to better their conditions, but they should do it by legal means.
Toothpaste flavours! I got tempted by a different brand this week, according to the box, itās supposed to be fresh mint. Smells like Germolene, for those old enough to remember it. Iām sure there was also a brand of haemorrhoid cream with a similar scent. Absolutely disgusting, but Iāll have to use it until I can buy an alternative. Back to the tried and tested version, Iām afraid. What a waste of money.
In Europe and large parts of Asia the population is rapidly ageing. Within the next few decades the absolute totals will fall, in several countries they can expect population totals to halve. In this scenario, unless there is significantly more robotic working, we shall have to expect massive international migration if living standards are not to plummet. Thereāll be a huge diaspora out of Africa.
