I bought some trousers from Land's End recently - £40ish.  I liked them so when I got an email about 40% off in the sale I clicked on it.  But now they are £70 odd and the 40% off reduced them to about £2 more than the first pair I bought!

That's a long way from Suffolk to buy a pair of trousers. :D

Oh, didn't know that @Dovefromabove, just ordered a cashmere jumper from them for OH's Xmas present. The discounted price I paid - £90 off! was probably their bog standard rate then. I hope it's going to be okay.

  • It started off in Chicago as a place selling chandlery. The misplaced apostrophe has always irked me … the explanation is here

The UK (maybe European) HQ of Land’s End is in Oakham. They have an excellent factory shop which I often frequent. My favourite bargain was a £170 coat bought for £35.

We must have missed that when we were up in Oakham two years ago. Lovely place.

How is your wife doing Ben? Well, I hope.

How irritating Pansy. I was berated by folk,( not on here) when I said this about the rush to get away from fossil fuel and electric cars, was told I was being stupid, because you would drive to a different area to charge it! Anyone watch Morgan Sanders, last week. The truth about Electric Cars?
