We switched to bamboo toothbrushes a while ago.  The old ones are kept for cleaning round the taps and other awkward spots.
Didn't realise that about poodles.  I always stroke the nice fluffy bit on their head - don't look at the other end.  What I like about them is that they don't smell.  Sadly a lot of my friends have staffies and they do - their dogs never get stroked.

Our got sheared once a year around May. In the interim a fringe was cut so that she could see.

At least with babies, you pretty much know where the 💩is going to be.

I've avoided them too!  The experience of a friends new born projectile vomiting its milk all over its Dad, and my nephew literally filling his babygrow and have the stuff in his hair was enough for me.

Our dogs have all been greyhounds and either greyhound or saluki crosses (lurchers). They have very fine coats, no undercoat, don't smell, don't need trimming and other than the occasional attack of grassyarse, don't need, ahem, assistance. We never bathe them, although they do get a rough hose down if they roll in something horrible - luckily they aren't especially prone to that. But they all suffer with terrible teeth - something to do with the long snouts, according to the vet. One greyhound had long term and serious infections in her gums, so we started teaching them to let us clean their teeth. It takes a few weeks when they first arrive, being patient and getting them used to it slowly, but even the newest one, who has super sensitive ears, puts up with having his teeth brushed every night now.

Leo, the 15 year old has bad breath,we use a special dog bad breath spray, vet isn't happy about cleaning his teeth under a GA. We do Luna's nightly. Then there's those "things" that babies do with their noses!!!

Thanks @pansyface, for that carol link, sounds interesting.

I'm really miffed today to find out our two full green bins (due on Thursday)won't be collected at all due to a driver shortage. Next and last collection is now not until 2nd Dec and I've got stacks of debris ready to go, as well as all the rose pruning I need to do soon. However they are extending the payment schedule to make up for it so that's something I suppose.

  • @Lizzie27 I think you'll find that not unusual - same thing here  ( SW Somerset ) earlier this year.

Bojo and his clowns are making electric charging points a legal requirement on all new houses from next year. Why not Solar panels on all new houses?
I only know one person with an electric car, but everyone I know uses electricity

The Building Regulations pretty much mandates solar panels now so it's probably unnecessary to make it law in other ways.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I was going to wait to see if Windows 11 was a good option but I think I'm downloading it with the updates. Nothing I can do about it now😐
