@SamBevington - you look gorgeous! @Busy-Lizzie - glad D2 has recharged her batteries and is now confident enough to try and work things out.Ā It worked for Abby and Kevin (that's for any Corrie fans on here!). Glad you are feeling a bit better @punkdoc. I agree that straight dresses, like a shift dress, can work - unless like me your boobs stick out and it just falls down from there.Ā But as one gets older one finds that the boobs look down to indicate the correct direction of travel for the dress. Heavy rain followed by sun here - so anticipate many rainbow pics on Facebook!
It's a problem with the bra styles that hoist one's chest skywards like a buxom wench's apple dumplings ... nowadays there are other styles that work better with column dresses and a less 'buoyant' lookĀ
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's getting dark already. Feel absolute rubbish today, some kind of gastric upset/headache/nausea.Ā Been having bouts of it over the last few months so will try to arrange to see my GP.
I managed to get the awkward box ball stump out of its pot, took 1.1/2 hours and a lot of swearing but I didn't break the pot. Will plant the tulips next week.
That's good news @Busy-Lizzie that you can stay in Norfolk with your OH but talk about last minute! Hopefully your daughter can come to some arrangement with her husband. It might well have given him the shock he needed to mend his ways.Ā
Good news @Busy-Lizzie, and well done you @punkdoc, getting the sun on your face and a bit of fresh air will help I am sure.Ā Back from Capel bit knackered,Ā they made new bays andĀ re-started making their own compost a couple of years ago,Ā but with last years shutdowns they didn't use any, so they have an absolute mountain of it. " help yourself " said the head gardener, trouble is the bays are tucked away out of sight across a service road, and the slope up back to the main garden, is very steep , so I had to take the bags back off the hand truck and carry them up the slope oneĀ at a time.š„µ I will be mulching my Asparagus bed and the Raspberries on the Allotments next week.Ā
@Lizzie27, I think she wants to talk to him about divorce arrangements and children.
We went to Waitrose today, rarely go there as it's further away. OH said I could choose meals and he would pay so I enjoyed looking round and we have a week ofĀ deliciousness to look forward to. I've opened the packet of Florentines, yum. Scampi tonight, can't get it where I live in France, followed by raspberries and cream. Raspberries are very expensive in Dordogne, don't know why - I had loads from the bushes I planted in the spring.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Me too for the dress @Lyn.Ā Good shape @Busy-Lizzie.Ā Ā I have a full length beaded monsoon evening dress bought for my 50th birthday party and a fancy brocade evening jacket.Ā No occasion to wear either at the mo but keeping them just in case as I love them.Ā Ā Certainly couldn't have made the dress.
Hope daughter 2 holds her nerve and gets good professional advice too if she needs it @Busy-Lizzie.Ā Ā
Feeling flup now.Ā Leftover tartiflette, devilled kidneys and steamed broccoli - fridge and freezer emptying exercise.Ā Ā Think we'll have venison from the freezer on Sunday as Possum won't eat that.
Eeeeek!Ā Forecast to go below 0C tomorrow night.Ā Will have to go and pick all remaining dahlia flowers tomorrow am.Ā Ā Or maybe a bit later as the bees love them.
