Might be worth a new thread @BenCotto ? of Which top 5 ( and bottom 5 ) recommended nursery's / compost - peat free / seeds are what ever . I am curious myself who rated where and I am sure others are as well . Can't say I've had any problems with T&M seeds in the past I'd say they good from my own experience.

@NollieI don't think it looks like Miscanthus Grazeilla even though I've mentioned it , its on one of the websites selling it ( garden express )  and its sold as Miscanthus Grazeilla Indian Summer.  I were wondering if it were the same or possibly a seedling off Grazeilla.

I've had absolutely no problem with T&M seeds, or Parker's bulbs, but because of the experiences of other folk that I'm aware of, I don't use them for plants.

I always found the thread we ran on nurseries very useful, it was through a recommendation on here, for MacPlants, that I started to use them and now use them regularly [ probably too regularly ]
I don't understand why some posters just think we should make up our own minds, ignoring the experience of others and therefore making more mistakes.

It would seem to be defeating the purpose of this forum @punkdoc 😵  I've had loads of good advice from fellow gardeners here over the years  :D

Oh dear, "making up your own mind," means making your own choice after weighing the options. It's your choice as you're paying for it and someone's previous bad experience shouldn't be a deciding factor.

Common sense seems a bit in short supply this morning.

Bit early for nit picking isn't it?

This makes no sense to me. Are you having trouble with predictive text?

Sorry, but someone else's experience would always enter into my thought processes, especially if it was someone I trusted, like many fellow posters on here.
If I wanted to buy Viburnum, not having bought one before, I would ask on here, what experiences others had had. This then would help inform my decision making process.

No idea what is wrong with you, if you think this is nit picking.
Perhaps it is because you know everything and therefore never have to ask advice?

At last, five minutes to read all the posts.
Thank you everyone for all the input, it has been very interesting reading all the advice and information, pity about some of the sniping, but it's a forum and everyone has their own views.
I've decided to take a chance and go for it, as it can't go in till the spring and at the moment I'm potting on everything, while work is in progress, as a small plant it stands a chance of growing and with tlc will be ready for its new position when the time is right.
I've taken on board what everyone has said and although I don't get much time to do as much searching as I'd like, what I have managed to do has been educating.
As someone mentioned, people are very quick to criticise a company if something goes wrong, but a lot of people don't think to recommend if things go right, bit of a mine field in that area.
One of the reasons I was attracted to Miscanthus India Summer was the height and more important the width, I've had to be very selective about the grasses I've chosen because of the area they will be planted in and the space available for each one, but the India Summer has stood out for its beauty and size.
So I'm going to bite the bullet and hope that a good specimen arrives and fulfills my expectations.
Again thank you to everyone for your help.

Nothing wrong with me chum, can't say the same for you.

There's two options for the OP.

Buy it or not buy it. It's a plant, not a house.

They must have been interested in the offer, or they wouldn't have mentioned it.

As I said before, if you aren't satisfied with the purchase you're likely to get your money back.
Garden centres even the posh ones like Bents, if you hang on to the receipt, if the plant doesn't perform as expected, they'll give you your money back. Over the years I've had that service from Wyvale, Parkers  and yes Bents.

    So what's the problem?

    Doh!

    I rest my case.
Why you came back to this forum, after having left, I have no idea, can only assume tat it is true what others have said and you pissed them off as well.
