I said that I wouldn't buy from a newspaper offer because "you don’t know who you’re buying from and how reliable they are. I would rather buy from a named supplier. "

That was the reason I gave for my choice
based on over ten years of being a member here and having read many complaints about such offers.  That is 'knowledge'.

That is not 'dismissing it out of hand'.

You still dismissed it admitting you'd no experience of it..
I don't see how that was "helpful."

I on the other hand mentioned my own positive personal experience of such offers.
    That's the difference.

I'm sorry @Doghouse Riley  I'm trying very hard not to appear 'argumentative', but you said you'd had a good experience of buying from newspaper offers.  I said I was aware of bad ones.  Both are perfectly valid responses to the query.

    You argumentative?
    Would I ever say that?

Having a different opinion or recounting different experiences is not arguing.  :)

Maybe photos are more interesting to some,  than so many pointless nitpicking  and unfriendly "texts?"

    Really?

    You are funny,

Read your nonsense posts about mine.

You've never had an "original thought" I thought worth  responding to.

But if you're going to dish it out for no reason, expect it back.
