It's worth having a blood test to check Vit D levels, esp if you have more melanin in your skin. My levels were in the basement beneath the basement and it's taken months of 125 mcg intake to raise them off the ground.

Just to be clear - 1000 micrograms (mcg) not milligrams (mg) - I made this same mistake in another thread. It's all very confusing.
Just checked on the packet, it is indeed 1000mg - Accrete D3 One a Day chewable tablets. The GP warned me she was putting me on a high dosage. I have regular bone scans.

Each chewable tablet contains
1,000 mg calcium (as calcium carbonate) and 22 micrograms cholecalciferol (vitamin D3 equivalent to 880 IU as concentrate powder form).
