  • Sorry you’ve been poorly Debs. Hope you’re both feeling better soon. I found the horrid dry cough went on for several months tho
but that was before anyone knew what it was and there were no vaccines.

At least if you’re double jabbed it won’t be so bad. I spoke to someone whose had it twice
once when I did in Dec ‘19
she was really very poorly. It was confirmed as Covid a few months later as she was still unwell so the docs took a blood sample and she had antibodies. However she had Covid again this summer (caught at a family christening) and she said that she wasn’t anything like as ill because she was double jabbed.
    Get well soon.

We are both double jabbed and I am due my booster so assuming that’s why I was not so ill. FiancĂ© is a type 1 diabetic so always hit hard with any virus. He was very confused yesterday with a temperature which wouldn’t go down but seems better today.
I am annoyed because I am pretty certain this started from our pharmacist who was unwell and came into work, he obviously didn’t test. Irresponsible I feel

Debs, I do remember your comments about irresponsible staff members and coming into work when poorly. My brother-in-law was diagnosed with Covid on the same day he had his booster. I expect that's why he wasn't too poorly at all. He, too, has to be careful as he has a pacemaker.

    Good morning later arrivals.

Debs, so sorry to hear that you are tested positive, get well soon.

Hazel, nice that you are well rested. Your disk problem is similar what my father had.

I see sunshine outside. It's still not inviting to go out.

I was unwell but fiancé is very poorly indeed. Has been for 3 days now. I dread to think how he would have been if not double jabbed.

Good morning everyone. Sorry to hear about your 'experience' yesterday RosieBB - that could have been very nasty indeed - hope there is nothing worse than some bruising to your foot.

Debs - sorry to hear your OH is so poorly with Covid. I know of a couple of people who've been quite badly affected but, fortunately, they all made a full recovery. Hope he feels much better very soon.

We had a good weekend away at the kart meeting, and I thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely mooch round Lincoln on the Saturday. Was hoping to do some Christmas shopping but inspiration didn't strike. Bought myself some nice dangly earrings though😁

Since we've been back I've been doing battle with a blocked ear. Happens every so often (narrow ear canals) and I manage it quite well myself (last ear cleaning was nearly 3 years ago) but every so often professional intervention is required. Have an appointment with the audiologist for tomorrow to get the wax sucked out (much more pleasant than syringing / irrigation). It will be a huge relief to get it done and I'll be much less grumpy and OH can stop shouting!

Bad night last night. If I lay on my right side it made my ear worse, on my left was where I had my booster yesterday - and that was as sore as heck. Seemed to wake up on the hour every hour so I'm a tad zombyfied today. All minor stuff though - hopefully the ear will be sorted tomorrow and my arm will be less painful tonight. I wonder what it is about this vaccine that makes the arm so sore afterwards? Nearly everyone seems to be affected

Might try to sweep up yet more leaves today - seem to have collected absolutely loads this year. All good stuff for the garden though.

  • Ante my foot is a little bruised thank you.  LB I was asleep until around 2pm this afternoon, thank you.  I was sorry to worry Rubee but we’ve had a cup of tea together and Alfie and I were very pleased to see her.  Hazel I do hope yours and oh back ache soon goes it can be rather painful.  Lily I needed a good rest but I’m not feeling too bad, thank you.  Chive I did rest thank you and better for having something to eat.  LB I can remember standing on a wobble board when I was having physio in hospital.  Hazel having your ears blocked is not good., our surgery don’t offer this anymore unfortunately, but great when you can have them cleared.  Topbird you’ll be so relieved to get your ears cleared tomorrow and hear the world again.  Have a lovely evening.

    Good afternoon everyone.
Download Woman Screaming With A Megaphone for free Retro cartoons Illustration story Cartoon postersHello T'Bird, hope that the temporary hearing issue is rectified soon. It must be very disconcerting for you. Glad that you had a good time at the races. Once all that lovely leaf mould is formed your garden will be in for a treat. You have created an image in my head of the audiologist standing next to you with a vacuum cleaner hose pressed up to your ear. It does sound nicer than irrigation though. I bought some earrings today oddly enough but not dangly ones. These are called crawler or climber earrings because they go up the sides of your ears. Hope that you get a more comfortable night tonight. Debs, I also hope your fiancé recovers quickly.
RosieBB, I am pleased to hear that your foot is only bruised and nothing is broken. It could have been quite horrendous.

  • Evening All, it’s official Mum can use walking sticks and put her full weight on the operated leg now đŸ„łÂ
LB That was a clever idea using an elastic band to exercise your damaged ankle, Mum would have liked a few sportsmen to help her along 😊 Glad you’ve had a good day out and bought nice little treat,
Debs I’m sorry to hear you tested positive, very disappointing to think you caught it from the pharmacist. I hope you & fiancĂ© both feel better soon and make a full recovery take care,
Hope you had a nice meal out with your friends today Busy,
Hazel Your back condition sounds extremely uncomfortable I hope it eases off soon, a week must feel a long time. Are you able to take anything to help it?
Glad you enjoyed your weekend away Topbird, nice to treat yourself to some earrings. Hope your ear will be improved after the treatment tomorrow and your arm less sore,
Bluebells I’m pleased you’ve had a good rest today and Rubee came to check on you and have a cup of tea. I hope the foot is not too painful as the bruising comes out, Alfie will be happy to be with you while you recuperate.
    Have a lovely evening everyone.
