Afternoon everyone, Hazel Sorry to hear that mum is not wanting to go outdoors it is hard to accept. I’m sure she enjoyed seeing you too and I’m glad you had no difficulty with the journey. Hope your back improves, though you have a nice lot of bulbs to plant now 😊 SGL I’m pleased that some fresh air has helped to clear your headache, hope it continues to improve now and you have a better nights sleep tonight. Popped into L*dl on the way home, just picked up a few items we needed. Lovely Poinsettia in the store which I was tempted by but resisted I haven’t had much luck with those in the past.
Good afternoon everyone. I thought that I had had a mare of a day until I read what happened to you RosieBB. How very shocking for you. It happened to me once when I was 15. Luckily nothing broken but it frightened me as to what might have been the outcome. I do hope that you are not too shaken by this experience but I'm cross for you that the stupid driver never even noticed. Such a pity you did not get a number plate.
Guess who got stuck on the M6 and a journey that normally would have taken 20 minutes max took over an hour! It did - for the first time ever - allow me to use the built in hands free calling facility in my car to ring my sis and let her know. She had heard about the problem on the news. Its all down to the building of the new 'smart motorway' (yeah right!) and an obstacle in the road. I got quite familiar with the rear of a cement mixer!
Hazel, a bitter sweet visit for you and your OH to your Mum's. I do recall my Mum being like that too as she slowly disappeared from us. Its good that she has so many of your family around to keep an eye on things and I'm sure that she was pleased to see you. You will enjoy planting up your new bulbs - a freebie is always appreciated!
SGL, it was good to read that your horrible headache has eased off now, being outside will definitely have helped.
Busy, I'm sure that you will be forgiven for forgetting about your Church cleaning duties.
BTW, I hate to confess that I bought NOTHING at the GC! I need to go back again with more time and have a good mooch.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hazel, sorry to hear about your Mum. Like you said, she has a lot of family members around her so you shouldn't worry.
Rosie, I hope that you are better now. What a shock. Take care and watch on your foot. These days are so many reckless drivers on the road.
LB, sorry to her that you had traffic problems. I'm sure that you will buy something when you visit GC next time.
Chive, I'll go to Lidl at Saturday. I already making a list, maybe I'll check it twice😁.
It seems that today is day for small accidents. I cut into my palm when I was cleaning veggies for lunch. Nothing serious, but quite messy. Delivery guy came as he told me, but he wasn't very polite. They are overcrowded last few months. After sunny morning, grey and cold day.
LB sorry to hear you were stuck on the M6 for quite a while. I’m glad your safely back home. Lily will have misssed you. Hazel and LB I don’t think the driver even noticed me. I felt a bit sick at the time, but Im not too bad. I’ll see how I’m walking tomorrow. Busy thank you I’ve just put my feet up this afternoon. Its amazing how many drivers don’t have their eyes on the road, some years ago an older man was killed there. I know because he lived in my home and my late neighbours told me about their friend. LB smart motorways make me shudder. To call them smart when they are more dangerous. Money over safety. Do take care on the roads ladies and gentlemen. I’ve made room for Alfie on the sofa and he is sleeping soundly.
Evening All @bluebellsinthewild Oh my gosh I’m so sorry to read what happened to you how awful, I apologise I didn’t see your post before. I do hope your foot and side is ok, it’s a big shock to your system it can have a delayed effect take it easy.
Busy Oh dear it’s an easy thing to happen especially when you have so much going on, @Songbird-1 Hazel That’s a relief it’s not just me with those plants 😅 hope your back feels better,
LB Sorry your journey was so grim and you came back empty handed 🙁 Ante Hope your hand is ok those sorts of cuts are easily done when peeling & chopping. There are lots of temptations at L*dl I saw some nice fairy lights 😊
Gosh, Hazel, your post wasn't there when I wrote mine. Chive, I am another one who fails to keep a poinsettia going. I don't even bother buying them these days but do like to see them all collected together in their various colours in a GC.
Ante, I was so sorry to hear of your hand injury. It can be quite a difficult injury because you need your hands for so many things and it is easy to forget that you have a sore hand when you are trying to do things. Here we have rude delivery drivers too Ante and often they are not careful with parcels.
I think I might need to go to L**l too
Here is a little taste of what I saw today:
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Luckily it was my left hand so I'm good. It was quite bloody Hazel. Thanks for advice.
LB,what a lovely scene. I would add some yellow light to. Last year and half delivery drivers became very unplite. Companies changes them on monthly base and I don't recognize them. Before that one guy worked for years in one delivery. I think that volume of work increased a lot, and salaries are same as before.

I was supposed to help clean the village church this morning and I completely forgot. It was arranged about 2 1/2 weeks ago.
