Night night Hazel - hope all goes well tomorrow with your vaccine. Night night RosieBB
@Ante30 I had to take Lily to the vet's yesterday because she had a bit of a cold but she has bounced back today thank goodness. Full story is on page 12.

Thanks for all your lovely good wishes and 'cards' - very much appreciated.

I did get a bell for my bike but the only one I could find with a right handed thumb striker (important for me) was a child's one with a  "I ❤️ my bike" sticker on it🙄

It was only £4.99 so have taken the huge financial risk that I'll be able to remove said sticker to leave an undamaged plain black bell. Think a hairdryer and a bit of patience will do it.🤞

Lunch was really, really good and we both very much enjoyed our meals. Only trouble is I now keep nodding off in front of the fire...

Ante - meant to say earlier - I hope all goes well for your father.

SGL - what a pain with your groceries. I don't get on too well with online grocery shopping. Always forget things whereas, if I visit the store, I often see things which I realise I've left off the shopping list. Probably just not organised enough.

Cold tonight isn't it? Off to Silverstone tomorrow where we may buy OH's Xmas present (new race suit).

Great to hear that you had a super day T'Bird. I reckon you should leave the sticker on the bell and just spray paint over it. Not sure what sort of a sticker it is though. Have a good time at Silverstone tomorrow and I hope the present buying is successful. It is cold here at 11°C. Warmer in the house of course and I'm going to sign out for today so good night to you all and I'll see you tomorrow.

Thank you Ante mum is on the mend,

Goodnight everyone, hope you all sleep well.
  • When OH started chemo and radiotherapy, we decided then that we would try SM delivery and then of course Covid, so we carried on with deliveries. I've got used to it now and it helps with all the heavy items. Just a pain when things don't arrive. Like @Songbird-1 I've  never really enjoyed food shopping,  don't mind getting the odd few bits but a complete shop gets on my nerves. It was always so busy, long queues to pay and so many people blocking isles while they chatted in groups.   Sorry, makes me sound moody😂😂  Don't mind going in for a few bits now as it seems quite empty compared to before.
Perhaps doing it on line every week for so long makes it easier @Topbird I usually make a written list and add things on during the week.  And if you do suddenly remember something online lets you add it quite late the night before delivery day.

Watched Strictly tonight, AJ was amazing.
Night night everyone, sleep well and sweet dreams.

    Evening all,

Family walk today so no running-around-a-field duties for a change. Several offers of a coat when I turned up without one (a lot of regular hikers involved with spare kit) and concern about how cold/wet I'd be. As I've spent the majority of my life wearing shorts and short-sleeved shirts on winter Saturday afternoons, I reckoned I knew what I was doing ;) I'm not sure folk believe me when I say I don't feel the cold like they do. Anyway, 20 mins in, the hooded top is tied round my waist and I'm strolling 'on't tops' in a T-shirt. Didn't rain for the 3 hours we were out either. Told ya I'd be fine!

Hoping to finally get a decent stint in the garden tomorrow.

  • Biglad I’m glad you didn’t get wet. Look after yourself.  It would be good to be out walking for a change.  I’ve had an early breakfast and cleaned the bathroom floor.  I’ve fed Alfie and he’s sprawled on the sofa.

A very good morning early birds Biglad and Rosie BB and all to follow. It was a good walking day yesterday Biglad. I reckon you are a hardy perennial like my Postie who wears shorts all the time. I'm off to see the rellies today - not having seen them for over a month now. Its raining too which makes me 'smug face' this morning after yesterday's marathon Lily's TV event. By the way RosieBB
