Good morning all. Hello there Chive. You are not on your own in having a broken night. They all seem rather random these days. I can't make my mind up what I'm going to tackle today. I'll have a ponder whilst drinking my first cup of tea. I'm expecting more fireworks tonight as it was drismal last night and not a lot was happening around here.
@Biglad, will you be watching the Derby match today?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Hazel ,my bruising is settling down ,thank you for asking.Lily my OH injections went well . Unfortunately he blacked out in the clinic while waiting for his lift .After he came round nurses insisted he lay on a trolly in a side ward .He went to hospital in patient transport.I was not allowed to go with him.I thought he was taking a long time to come home so I rang him,his phone was off, rang half an hour later still off .It took me an age to get a phone number for the clinic .Eventually I rang the Neuro ward and they put me through to the clinic .A nurse asked OH to ring me ,he told me what had happened.OH appointment was for 11am, at ten past eleven OH rang to say he was waiting for transport . After that I couldn’t get through to the clinic until one forty five .he eventually got home at two thirty .he was uncomfortable but not too bad .I was shattered but pleased to see him .Sorry if this post is a bit disjointed, I am tired .
Good morning Ruby. Goodness me you must have been so worried. Its a nuisance when you cannot get through either, to try and find out what is happening. I am so glad that it all ended happily and hope that you both got some rest last night.

Morning everyone, I was awake during the night too. Came back downstairs for awhile went back up around 3. @Rubee so sorry to hear your OH was unwell after his injections. You must have been so very worried not being able get in touch with him. Hope he had a good night's sleep and is feeling better this morning. Take care too Ruby. I'm sure we'll get more fireworks over the weekend too @Ladybird4 We were very lucky with the weather yesterday, but the forecast for the next week is rain and very cold. Time for another cup of tea to help me come to this morning
Good Morning LB, Rubee & SGL, LB Sorry to hear you are still not sleeping well, hope it is a dry day for you to get outside in the garden, Rubee I’m so sorry to hear what happened yesterday with oH at his appointment and how worrying for you not to be able to contact him. Hope you are both feeling more recovered today, SGL Sorry you have not slept well either, going to join you with a cuppa and hope that sorts things out ☕️
Taking my brother to collect his new car, I think I need a push start this morning 🥴
Chive, sorry to hear that you didn't slept last night. Try to rest during day.
Rubbe, I'm so sorry to hear what's happened to your OH. I can imagine how worried you were. Have a nice day you two.
Hazel, I have loft same as yours. First time I went up there was when my grandpa passed away. It took me a week till I finish with clatter. Here is awful outside. High wind, rain and very cold. According to forecast we can expect few snowflakes at Monday. I'll go to cottage this afternoon just to inspect everything and I'll go with my dog in a long walk.
Hello all Rubee, so sorry to hear of your OH's scary episode ... I suppose the last thin ngurses have time to think of in that sort of situation is that there's someone in the car park going frantic with worry ... at least they've sorted him out More local 'garden based' firework parties around here than usual ... the house opposite has two sons in their early 20s and they had a few friends around and let off quite an impressive display ... they have cats, and the other house near here that had noisy fireworks have a dog, so I take it they were all ok. I've never had a dog that was frightened of fireworks, but then when we had dogs we lived in very rural areas and they were used to shooting etc. I appreciate its worrying for folk who's pets are nervous of loud noises. The other day some families near here had Diwali fireworks and they were much quieter and very pretty. I seem to have got some sort of snotty head cold ... not a bad one but I think I'll stay in the warm and out of the wind this weekend. Have a good weekend folks and stay warm

Good Morning Hazel & Dove, Hazel Sorry you had a rotten nights sleep too, those bulbs will be lovely in the Spring will you put them in the ground or pots? Son came home yesterday, he has a full weeks course every month now. It helps to have the continuity of learning each day rather than once a week, but it is exhausting having said that he is working today 😳 Dove Sounds like you need some comfort food, hope you can shake off this head cold 🤧
