Wow! they look lovely Ante - please send some this way😋

@Biglad - it's amazing how quickly these admin jobs catch up with you. I'm forever thinking I must..... and then realising 2 months later that I still haven't. My eye test was due last year. I now have a very good offer on some specs with Vision Express so it might get done this month🙂

PS - Don't forget tax return time is looming again. Which reminds me - I must pay ours. November is proving to be a very expensive month indeed!

  • Chive the training for your son sounds positive and I hope he enjoys it, although it will be tiring.  They must think highly of him.  Hazel I wonder what you’ll find in mums loft with over50 years of collecting things.  It sounds like quite a task but interesting.  LB I’ve just washed my hair and lounging on the sofa.  It’s a lovely sunny day.  I’m glad to hear of Jacks daughter and I hope she’ll get her energy levels back in the not too distant future.  Lily I’m glad to hear you slept through, so did I, but like you not straightaway.  I’ve been pottering and just about to have a cuppa.  Chive a very Happy Birthday to your mum 🐣.  Many happy returns.  Ante your biscuits look absolutely lovely, as you say, like C*******s.  LB have a great day with rellies at the party.  All good wishes.  I pretty much live in jeans too and the occasional dress.  Biglad you’ll be able to plan to get yourself sorted now.  It’s so easy to put things on the back burner.  Anyway, I must make a cuppa.  Topbird don’t drink your wine and do the tax return 🤭😁.

    They look awesome @Ante30 :)

Predictably, I got distracted by the great outdoors, football and cricket :D

I got as far as renewing my GW subscription (if only for the 14 packets of free seeds that will be included) before going outside for bulb planting and further work on dismantling the old, back fence and next door's ivy that has morphed to become more fence than the fence is! Garden waste bin is pretty full again ahead of collection on Wednesday.

My working week will be very different this week. I'm planning to do 2 days across the 5 with the rest of the week dedicated to getting life back on track.

    Evening all.

Thank you Hazel, Rosie and Biglad.

Hazel, it's so simple recipe with just few ingredients and easy to make.

    For dough:
    300 g all-purpose flour
    100 g of softened butter
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
    1 vanilla sugar
    2 teaspoons of baking soda
    pinch of salt

After you make a dough let it rest in the fridge at least an hour. Then you can make any shape you want and bake  around 8 minutes on 180 ℃.
Be careful and don't let them to turn brown. When they cool, put them together with jam or anything you like.

I had a super time at the party but did make an error in my outfit. I have a very 'on trend' (RosieBB ) pair of black leather boots - buckles, laces, zips and a heel etc. and decided these would look good under my black linen trousers. The thing is readers, I haven't worn heels for over 5 years and first of all my feet said 'What the heck do you think you're doing pushing us into these?'! They created for the whole time I was out and boy the sweet relief when I got home and could kick them off again. Don't get me wrong, they are normally so comfortable and they are at least 5 years old themselves. Its my feet. They have shaped themselves to fit trainers and are not interested in any other footwear - well apart from slippers. I won't give up on them but will try to break my feet in gradually.
I've been hugged to death by the small people and entertained by all their antics. We played Duck Duck Goose at the back of the carpark. I had to learn it first of course.
Ante, if I wasn't so full I could just really enjoy one of your gorgeous biscuits with my cup of tea. I am going to make some too so thank you for posting the recipe.

Biglad I think that is a sound idea spreading the work across the week. There are jobs that really need doing in the garden and if we get a nice spell you need to take the opportunity.

  • Evening everyone,
Oh yummy  @Ante30 those biscuits look lovely. Very pretty and Christmassy. Think I'll make a note of the recipe too. Thank you for sharing.
@Ladybird4 glad you had a lovely time today. Sorry your feet were rather sore.
@Topbird think it's the 19th series of Strictly. I always record it so I can whizz through most of it.  But think this year is the best one for a few years. Much prefer it without Bruno as judge for a start 😂
@bluebellsinthewild sounds like my Sunday afternoon too, I've not done much today 😉
