The only fuel which seems to be in shortish supply round here is the old E5.

On another subject altogether, I was on a consumer rights site earlier and somebody was complaining that the item they ordered was damaged but the company has agreed to send a replacement.  They are asking if they should sue the company because of the inconvenience caused.  I thought it was only in America that they sued at every opportunity - it is clearly heading our way!

Sun was shining, I put the washing out, walked back indoors, 5 mins later it rained.

  • Guess it depends on what they had ordered.  A heart replacement ?  They might have a point in that case. Otherwise, hopefully they were told by the site to accept the replacement with good grace.

Think I’d point out that only when they’d achieved complete perfection themselves could they expect others to do the same.

Got my bike out to ride to the station and it started raining.  Dipped inside to put waterproof trousers on and the light rain shower was a absolute torrent! Very short ride to the station and I looked like a drowned rat!

Took everything off on the train then just before getting off I kitted up for the rain only to find out 20 minutes down the line it was blue skies everywhere and no sign of rain! So I had to ride in full waterproofs when I didn't need to. Wet through waterproofs at that!

It's been horrendous today.  So heavy rain,  the factory flooded!!

I got the washing dry outside yesterday … I think we’ll be getting the torrential rain today… in fact it’s already started … OH will be cycling to work in his yellow waterproofs … my son will be at his new job in a carpark  in the rain somewhere in the East of England, setting up and managing one of the new temporary Covid testing centres that spring up where there’s an outbreak … goodness knows what WonkyWomble will be doing … hope she’s got some inside work today 😲

  • Feels high time for a curmudge (that should be a word) about the Zuckerberg empire. It was a pain having WhatsApp down last night but at least I don't use the others much. It just seems bonkers that such a huge monopoly on communications is allowed to go on.

Mmm. Although there are quite a few people who won't even have noticed. Me included. It is a massive company, for sure, and I'm no fan. But that's the point. I don't like their business practices so I only use their platforms when other people insist on it.

  • Yes many won't have, here at least given the timing. A lot of small business owners don't have much choice but to have some kind of presence and for many it's a free alternative to a website. Not that it being separated from WhatsApp and insta would have made a difference to folk like that relying on it.
