Got a few more hours in so should be able to keep awake until I start trying to watch the golf again this evening
Unfortunately, the fuel light has been on for a while in my car. I fear the local population of numpties will have either emptied the pumps or are now forming a sad queue
I don't have the time or inclination to wait in line, so may have to ask eldest if I can borrow her motor.
Good afternoon everyone. LB Im back from sm, all in stock except Longley farm yogurts, others available. Then visited mum and dad and fell asleep for a few hours. I stayed for lunch and then home. Luckily, sm had Alfie’s food in stock as I had to order from the big river last time. Hazel enjoy your visit with family today. I hope your daughter is having a better day. Debs enjoy your day today. Lily autumn is also arriving here. I was up early and it was rather dark so I waited 20 mins before setting off to sm. Fairly quiet. Missed the rush.
Afties all. Flu vaccination was run rather differently this year. When I arrived in the village the queue was 100m long so I joined the back and asked the couple in front if this was the queue for petrol. We had a laugh and a natter. Eventually we got into the surgery where our details were taken and we formed another orderly queue until told where to head for to get our injections. The young girl dealing with me asked my age apologising as she did saying 'I'm sorry but I have to ask everyone that.' She asked if I had had my covid booster in the last few days. I told her that I was waiting to hear about that one. Then I had my injection - didn't feel a thing, and I was handed a miniscule piece of paper with her name on it and I had to present this at the reception desk. My details were again asked for and I was asked what arm I had had the injection in! Whats that all about?! I was glad when it was all over.
Oh goodness Hazel, I'm sorry to hear that you were left feeling a bit flat after 23's visit and the awful news about your granddaughter's bike. Did she have it marked and registered? There are some really hateful people aren't there. Thank goodness there are more nice ones.
I didn't even bother going to the petrol station today so I guess I have that joy to come. why don't the useless media just keep their big mouths shut I wonder.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB I agree with you it’s just exacerbated the situation. You’ll have been glad to get home after your flu vaccination. Hazel I’m sorry to hear your news and gd and family will understandably be upset and you too. I hope you have a good evening as well.
