I'm in the same flock @Nollie.  It's definitely safer all round.

Well said @Ben Cotto.   The UK electoral commission believes there is little voter fraud but even a few cases are too many and frankly, if their staff are as talented, able and qualified as the building inspectors on the Curmudgeon thread then I expect voter fraud is more widespread than they know.  In marginal constituencies it can make a big difference.

  • @Nollie aka Shawn. There has been some recent research on Sheep behaviour which suggests that they aren't as stupid as many people believe.
All we need now is for a similar project to be carried out on the human species - by Sheep of course and be amaaaaaaaaazed at the result  :D

Never mind sheep and cows ( 500 of those in neighbouring fields) my 5 rescue chooks are pretty damn clever and interactive.

Absolutely true, you only have to read Animal Farm.

How on earth can anyone think that having to prove you are who you say you are before casting your vote is wrong?

My guess is that if I go along to your local polling station and tell them I'm JoeX and cast a vote you're going to be right pee'd off with me.

Or to into a bank, say you are JoeX and be allowed to take all their money.  We have to prove our identity in all sorts of situations, why should voting be any different.
There have been cases of electoral fraud, often in communities where people believe their 'community leaders' know best.

I wish to issue an apology to sheepkind everywhere in the world and beyond 🚀  I understand that my thoughtless assertion that sheep have less intelligence than humans was highly inappropriate and innaccurate. I am deeply sorry for any offence caused to any of my woolly superiors. I have booked myself on a di-baaa-sity awareness training course forthwith 🐑

Oh and just to be on the safe side, sorry to any jewish alien lizards out there too 😆
