I had to go and count, my records are all over the place and need a good sorting..

55 [57*] different varieties of which 9 [10*] are Austins

Pots vary - about a dozen at the moment but some are going in the ground this year.

    * a couple of my rejects OH rescued for outside her garden office, which don’t really count!

But, but some of you do have multiples of each type right? This method of counting penalises me and I protest :D
Reconsidering planting the seeds I have collected....

I haven’t included multiples, e.g. I counted Munstead Wood as one variety tho I have four of them. Reckon you are going to win the headcount any which way @Tack!

Just out of interest, how long do you keep them in pots @Tack?
I'm asking because I'm planning to put two new Natalie Thypels into long term pots.

..don't worry Tack, I used to have about 100 but I've downsized quite a bit...  credit for growing 55 in pots.. takes some doing that..

..just to add, I used to speak to a lady in the U.S. who had some 1800 roses, all in pots.. another had some 1500, all planted..  what we have isn't much really... Monty Don has over 200..  the country's eminent rosarian Charles Quest-Ritson has about 1000 by his own admission..

Not counting seedlings, cuttings, multiples etc.

I've got 21 varieties - 3 in long term pots, 1 at the allotment.

    10 growing as climbers.

    17 of them are DA.

All is well. I've just been out to commune with the roses, there is in fact 1 fewer (I'll need to check my records for which I haven't marked Given Away) and only a mere sufficiency after all. Although after Marlorena's kind words maybe not quite at capacity.
My oldest potted rose is only in its 3rd season @Lizzie27 so I can't answer how long they'll look ok yet.
