The prince is looking beautiful. Mine is an expensive dry twig at the moment. I hope it will live to see new year!

Lovestruck. Has been blooming since late May and is so healthy and vigorous. It was more heavily scented earlier in the year but the colour didn't seem to be altered by being in full sun.

@Suesyn That's interesting. Beales say it has no fragrance.

Thank you for alerting us to the PB code @Omori. I've ordered Mutabilis and Purple Skyliner, I had lots of @Marlorena 's roses in the basket at one point and then became sensible, I'll enjoy hers instead. I want to use PS on the balcony trained as a screen for privacy, allegedly it is a climber happy in a pot, I've ordered a 65lt one for it.
Today I pruned and uppotted Desdemona and Diamond Eyes.

@Fire, you may be right about the scent of Lovestruck being light, I've lost my sense of smell and have to rely on my husband to tell me what a scent is like and his memory isn't always accurate. It's very frustrating as I have so many plants that I bought for their fragrance and I can't smell them. In fact it was an established Gertrude Jekyll that made me realise that I couldn't smell anything when it had been so strong the year before. The doctor thought it might come back but after four years I think it unlikely.

That's such a shame @Suesyn - a great loss for you. Do you know what brought that on?  (Sorry if you have mentioned it before on the threads).

@Fire, I first noticed it about 4/5 years ago but there seems to have been no obvious trigger, it alters the taste buds too so I can only taste sweet, salt etc.
The ENT man said it is surprisingly common and although it can be caused by a trauma usually there is no discernable reason, although it can be a symptom of a neurological disease like Parkinsons.
I really miss the smell and taste of coffee, it's just like hot water now.
