@Marlorena I too agree on rose forum. They should agree on it seeing the volume of posts/ views we get.
Welcome rain here.. but a lot windy as well..
Rachel (consistently big blooms among the roses I have, takes a break between flushes but amazing when in bloom, rain resistant)
Wellbeing (similar to Rachel in terms of flowering period, but a bit smaller. Makes up for size with its scent, smells similar to LEH to my nose)
The duo in bloom..
Emily bronte and Eustacia Vye (Emily is a stingy bloomer for me, this is in comparision to her healthy and bushy foliage)
Gabriel Oak (a good performer for me, did not have blackspot issues so far with monthly spray of fungus clear. I felt the growth habit similar to Munstead wood but a lot more healthier than Munstead)
Jubilee celebration(She is a beauty to look at.. blooms nod, blooms droop.. but consistently flowers despite not being very bushy- might want to grow with perennials/ in groups. I find her petals the most beautifully packed when viewed from side and a strong fruity scent.. not easy to capture her beauty on cam)
On the topic of Persicas.. Eyes for you.. Takes a break after the first flush.. but produces lots of blooms in bunches when in bloom. Rain tolerant for me, heavily scented before the petals are fully open, and the blotch in the centre darkens with age)
..is anyone missing photos on posts? I'm currently missing some photos from Tack's and some from Cooldoc's above... I'm seeing the write ups but not the pictures.. I'll check back later as I find sometimes posts suddenly turn up after I've left... lol..
edit.. ..I can see them now.... lovely roses everyone !.. that Eyes For You is rather nice..
.. Oh dear, I've just had a look around at other threads and noticed some consternation going on regarding a poster... I wish people wouldn't get involved really, I never do.. I think he's a teenager on a wind up, laughing behind his computer.. he just makes it all up as he goes along, and I suspect he's American as he doesn't know the difference between a Lilac and a Californian Lilac... he also talks of Grandiflora roses, which is an American Rose Society term.. we don't have that in UK.. lol..
@cooldoc ...rose clear seems to work for your Gabriel Oak... I have 2 of these and both are a total mess.. but they look good in June, and smell nice..
@JessicaS ...I like your pink Fuchsia, I've just noticed it in your last picture... I don't mind an occasional Fuchsia, wouldn't want too many...
@Marlorena Despite the use of fungus clear my LEH is covered in blackspots. My issue seems to be the new growth having a burnt/ crumbled look. My guess is that it has some thrip issues (matches with the pic from internet). It was worse in August, when all the blooms and new growths were affected. My assumption is it came from one of the nurseries I ordered plants from
and the missing photos could be me as I accidentally pressed post before completing the post
Regarding this poster, any links to the specific posts? I see that lot of them are discussing about it in a separate thread.
..oh ok.. I was looking for the Emily Bronte and it wasn't there.. I find this happens a lot here though, sometimes posts mysteriously appear long after I've looked at the thread and I miss questions or comments that way..
.. I think the other threads something to do with manure and hedging, it's like a bull in a china shop. .. I have this thread bookmarked and rarely venture out .. I can't be doing with nonsense, can you?..

I just read the thread about it but haven’t seen any of the offending posts. Haven’t been on enough lately to spot, I only check up on this thread.

It’s a shame when some numpty starts making a pest of themselves. I remember there was a well known member of a motoring forum I used to use regularly who posted rubbish. Was one of those who really just needed ignoring as it was all for attention. Feel sorry for them really!
@Tack has made the Rose seedling watching look fun so I want to have a go! I love growing from seed anyway. My Rugosas have done well.
@Fire 😂 at your comment on my “chunky hips” remark. I didn’t realise that was in response to me at first! Poor Arthur Bell, I hope he didn’t take it personally!
@Marlorena ah thats fushia in my summer bedding filled troughs, I love them. They usually overwinter or I cut back and pot in greenhouse, but I always have a few in summer!

My Emily Bronte is just opening new flowers.
@Omori for the good luck wish
