Morning all, love the pictures @Pat E. Windy during the night and only some mizzly bits of rain. Weather maps show sun here.....we have very low cloud and no rain. Off to the SM soon and bank, why can't insurance people put money straight into your bank account and not send a cheque. At least they paid out quickly for the repairs to the roof after our bad storm earlier in the summer.
Have a good day everyone, watch that back @WonkyWomble!

    Well!

Sitting here waiting for a cat!!  All dolled up to get the third jab, turned on the ignition and there was a great banging and scrambling.  What a fright I got.  Turned off car and jumped out waiting for an explosion!!   Miaow!    He's in the motor and mighty angry and scared is he!!  I don't think he is injured.  I have opened the bonnet and will just wait until he deems it safe to step out!!

@Pat E  Hi there.  Vipers are venomous but antidotes are available.  This is a couleuvre (grass snake) which can bite but it is advisable to see a doctor in case.  Anyway, my OH has removed the stump and put it on the trailer.  Good roo photos.

We've had a coffee but puss still sitting tight!!

    Sigh.

Have to go to Waitrose this morning, so we decided to combine the trip with breakfast at the Donkey Sanctuary, followed by a walk. It was misty at home, and quite foggy in places on the way here, but the sun is burning it’s way through and it’s getting warmer by the minute.
Spent a couple of hours yesterday shredding brambles for the green bins, so a clean slate today on what jobs to do. However, car is booked for MOT and service on Friday, so no doubt will help with giving it a clean, checking that the lights are all working, and removing the piles of assorted coats, umbrellas and shopping bags from the boot.

breakfast, and view from the table

Tui. I hope your cat is ok. Perhaps this will encourage him/her to stay out of that part of the car. 😳

im glad that donkeys have a sanctuary.

Not our cat @Pat E   we  just have a dog.  As cats have a large perimeter, it could have come from way beyond.  I know our immediate neighbours' cats as I usually feed them when they are on holiday.

Crikey! @tui34 did you have a time slot for your jab? Our neighbours' cat likes to get in our car but never under the bonnet!
Just back from SM, the sun is out and it's hot and steamy, time for a coffee.

Yes @floralies  but OH managed to cancel by phone!!  We've left it for nigh on 3 hours and it is still there, but changed position.  Can't see it though.  It gives out a plaintiff miaow.  Having had cats, we could be in for a long wait.  I hope it will "sneak" out during the night.  I will ring the vet when they open after lunch.  (Yes, to the Blighties - banks, vets and most shops except SMs close for a couple of hours for a hot lunch)!!

    Shank's pony for a while, I guess!

@tui34 Sounds to me like a stray sheltering somewhere warm and may be stuck now?

One of our cats loves cars so we have to be very careful about leaving the windows open and checking before we close doors and boot after unloading any shopping.  We also have to ask any tradesmen to close their vans so she can't explore and get carried away.

Never had a cat in the engine tho.
