  • To be even more pedantic, there is not a fuel shortage at the refineries and storage facilities … however it seems that there are fuel shortages at many filling stations 🤣

Coming at it from a slightly different angle, had we not dismantled our freight rail network, we would not need such a massive HGV infrastructure with trucks travelling such long distances, creating the poor working conditions that people find so off-putting. We would still need delivery drivers, but they'd be working nearer to home.

They’ll get the army to do it then,  they obviously don’t mind the shitty driving job,  or maybe they’d rather a job than UC.

'fuel shortages'-  It's hair splitting of the finest order  :D
As long as there isn't a shortage of headache remedies, it's fine. I feel I may need a plentiful supply on the forum due to the amount of head banging on walls I, and many others,  seem to be experiencing.... ;)

  • The army drivers won't be doing 60 hours a week,  they will be well fed and rested back at base in between driving stints.
I have had to use the fuel from the can for my mower, strimmer to keep a car on the road.

@Fairygirl you should be able to see Aurora from your location, I saw it a couple of times from Balloch. You might need to get away from urban lights so maybe a trip up to Eaglesham Moor.

We belonged to a very strictly run forum, anyone who copied and pasted got a ban, only a day for the first time, if it kept going on as this idiot on here’s doing, it would result in a complete ban.  The admin said that the site could get closed down if people continued to copy and paste under their own names,  plagiarism.
This site is very easy going.

Good thinking @steephill. We can see the windfarm from here, so perhaps I should have a trip along there some time if/when the sky's clear  :)
Too easy going sometimes @Lyn  :/
Let's just say, the Manure thread is well named.  :D
