Are you sure that  you're  exactly half zombie? 😉 @NorthernJoe
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • Don't know but I know what I mean. No definite in science only what we think we know now. The idea of fact and only one correct answer in science is probably another misunderstanding people have. Although maths is a bit more logical about things I'm not sure it's as simple as only one correct answer.

Then there's misunderstanding of maths to come into it. The idea of lies, damn lies and statistics. That's all wrong it's the misuse or misunderstanding of statistics that makes it appear that statistics lie. It's the spin humans put onto the branch of mathematics that lie.

Sorry but I'm off to mainline some caffeine. I'm rambling and not sure it's making sense. 😕

Joking aside - these people have millions of followers who think the sun shines out of their ample behinds. No wonder folk are taking wormers  :|
I've had a lot of experience administering them - I could help shove Strongid down them if they want.....

D'oh! I just got your joke. 31 minutes to filter through I did that maths OK! I hope that coffee takes less time to work on me. I have to do some maths for work. A bit of geometry. Normally a bit of fun but I'm 56.5% zombie. Will be 75% harder with a 0.00375 chance of getting it right.  :)
  • … of course, @NorthernJoe, a lot of folk get confused by the difference between arithmetic and mathematics ….

    Two things:
What have they done to A Question Of Sport? Noooooooooooo.

Why doesn't Gov stop manufacturers automatically supplying chargers with re-chargeable items? Why not 1) Standardise on chargers where possible  2) Say what type of charger the device requires (I have a universal adapter, so they're not impossible to design) 3) Provide a charger if you want one.
I have a draw full of chargers covering everything from laptops to toothbrushes - all having to be processed by WEEE (is that enough Es?)

I was listening to Women's Hour this morning and they had an interview with an 'influencer' (ex Love Island sleb apparently). She claims that social media providers should be doing more to regulate the nasty messages and trolling she receives. This seems reasonable of course but she doesn't seem interested in 'influencer' culture being regulated and controlled to stop these people causing devastating harm to the mental health of young people. Influencer culture has created this toxic narcissism in social media and now they want immunity from criticism to carry on making ridiculous amounts of money while the tax payer funds the NHS to pick up the pieces. I was expecting Radio 4 to take her to pieces on this point but they just let her have her say and moved on. Her Instagram feed is 99% selfies, lots of fake tan, air-brushing and makeup as per mandatory influencer uniform.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • Didn't hear Woman's Hour but I think there was an interview with an "Influencer" on either Today or World Service.
As you say, perfectly happy to demand rules and regs when it suits but completely oblivious to the need to consider the same when applied to herself and others like her.
Hate to think how many children, or indeed adults, are adversely affected by these people.

Good question about A Question of Sport.

Regarding chargers, phones are greatly improved from the days when even different phones from the same manufacturer couldn't share a charger.  Some phones do no longer come with a charger because of the near standardisation.  Our most recent phones are USB-C but I have purchased a couple of adaptors so I can also use the old cables with the new phones.
Just as annoying as the multipe different chargers is the lack of anything on the charger to say what it's for.  Like you I have a drawer full and no clue what they fit(ted).
