    We have a bit of sunshine here this morning … and spam … why someone in Rajasthan thinks we want his brush cutters I have no idea. 🙄

    Yes @Pat E … son was here yesterday for a bacon sandwich … he was getting phonecalls all yesterday from the MP’s assistant and folk involved with the evacuation … they knew there was going to be  a bomb before it happened  … the problem was that the crowds of people without travel documents were so many that they couldn’t properly check anyone …

    Son has been told there is little hope of his friends family getting onto a flight from Kabul now. Their only hope is the snatch/rescue squads of former British soldiers and Kurdish fighters who are getting some folk out … but the chances of them getting a whole family out are very slim. It’s unimaginably awful and his neighbour is frantic.

    Yes the Taliban soldiers along with the Brits were searching for the suspects together … but the crowds were too many …

    A bit of a RTBC.

    I know lots of here are VERY sniffy about bulbs from B&Q and prefer the seduction of a glossy website, but I bought these yesterday.

    Not sniffy here @Hostafan1 … decent sized named bulbs in good condition … what’s not to love? 😊 

    The ones I don’t like are mixed varieties or unnamed ones what’ve been wrongly stored and are already  sprouting in the shops, or even worse, mouldy and rotting.
