Good afternoon now, folks.was up at 6.daughter and grandkids went home yesterday. Thursday we visited a butterfly farm which they loved. Yesterday took the dogs and played ball on the beach, kids and grandad had a paddle. If I'd known how warm it was going to be, would have had a picnic.Ā  Peace tranquility and tidy house back

Celebrations are about to start @Hostafan1. I was thinking about being cheeky and offering the NDN's a glass too.

Maybe plan a 'pleased to meet you' drinks and nibbles (or tea and cake) in the garden for the new neighboursĀ  :D

We’re still watching the bike race in Spain, but as a gardener, I can’t believe the country that they have terraced and planted with Olives etc. Ā  mile after mile of really hard country. Just saw the bit where Valverde came off in a terrible crash - heartbreaking after all his efforts over the years. Broken shoulder I think. If any of you gardeners can call it up to see the country I’m talking about, it was stage 7. Ā

Alicante. Couldn’t remember which part there’s were on, but they’ve just put the place name on the screen. Ā  Absolutely amazing terraces and planting.

@punkdoc - time to pop corks (within ear-shot of course) šŸ¾

Half price Dahlias in HB today! Absolutely nothing wrong with them apart from a few brown leaves and slightly pot-bound. Unfortunately no variety name on them, just the family ā€œMaxiā€ but just what I needed for a gap in the patio pots.Ā

After torrential rain this morning, it dried and warmed up. Pond and water butts full, ready for a dry spell forecast for the next 10 days or so.Ā

    I hope everyone having a decent Saturday.Ā

@Pat E have you not seen photos or film of terraces in Indonesia - miles and miles of them going up the hillsides to make rice paddying possible.Ā Ā

Funny day today.Ā  Odd weather but I've managed to plant my broccoli plugs and PSB seedlings at last.Ā  I've also made a bag organiser with lots of pockets for fitting inside a typical summer bag that has no pockets so I lose my keys/glasses/cards wallet whatever down the bottom.Ā  Ā Just a bit of hand sewing to do to finish it off now.

Well done with the dahlias @AuntyRach.Ā  My patch is so busy with bees I've been reluctant to cut them for the house, tho that's why I grew them.

Fingers very crossed for you @punkdoc.Ā  I hope the new neighbours are a lot better.Ā  Good idea to invite them over to meet the locals.Ā  I did it when we moved here and it's worked a treat.Ā  Good relations both sides now.Ā  Ā

Congrats to your daughter and fiancé @Hostafan1.  I hope all goes well for them.
